Which SEC state's HSFB products have been awarded the most Heisman trophies, NFL & SB MVPs & NFL HOF trophies combined? I'd say....

1) TX
2) FL (distant 2nd)
3) LA or MS
5) GA
6-16) Everybody else

***2020 NFL Draft:
Seven of the first 45 players drafted are from Houston. That is 15%.
(More than your whole state...)

No, TX HSFB is not overrated...It translates well into the league, then and now...

I think LA has 10 NFL MVPs and 6 Super Bowl MVPs, but I may be off a hair.

EDIT: It appears there have been 63 MVPs from the AP. 10 out of 63 is pretty remarkable.

Outside of Bo's Heisman and Naimath, I can't think of any recent NFL MVPs & SB MVP's won by a HSFB player from the state of AL off top...I know about their NFL HOFers like John Hannah.

Florida has 7-8 million less people than Texas and more players in the NFL than Texas. That's all you need to know to figure out who produces the most talent.

A tiny fraction of the entire football playing demographic of the country plays in the NFL brah. It's FAR FROM just a numbers game like NCAAF or SALES DATA....Besides that >50% of Tejas is playing futbol not football....Try again

Who is Naimath?

If you are talking about Joe NAMATH, he played HSFB in Pennsylvania.

Pat Sullivan is another Heisman winner that played HSFB in Alabama.

I don't get it....
Heisman trophies alone, the state of TX (9) has more than any other SEC state...CA and OH aren't in the conference yet.

Now add in NFL HOFers + MVPs and TX will still have more than CA or OH...

The population of Texas alone, and HS football being the #1 sport, is the only reason Texas is #1.

If California wasn't the land of fruits and nuts, where soccer, surfing, skateboarding, X-sports, and SJWing are the main sports, California would probably be #1.

Yet, for all that talent, the State of Texas has only had 1 national title winning team since 1970
