re: Which SEC School/Schools Did Your Family Attend

I was the first person in my family's history to attend and graduate college. Many have come after me, but none before.

As far as I know, I was the first one in my family to go to and graduate from an SEC school (Alabama c/o 2010). My sister is currently at UA.

Grandfather and Grandmother on my dad's side went to Arkansas. He played football and she played basketball.

My dad went to Arkansas also... he played drinking games

Only family that I know of that went to an SEC school. Mom went to some art school.

I go to MSU and my little sister is trying to decide between MSU, LSU, Alabama, and Harvard. She is really smart and should go to Harvard but not sure if she wants to be that far from home.

Mom: The W
Dad's Dad: Harvard; taught at Ole Miss
Dad's Mom: Ole Miss
Mom's Dad: Mississippi State, but later converted to Ole Miss
Mom's Mom: UVA

My paternal grandmother went to Alabama.

I'm the only other person in my immediate family that's attended a SEC school.

Dad went to Montevallo, a small school south of Birmingham.

Mom went to UAB.

Dad-dropped out of high school and joined the army
Mom-graduated from high school and became a hairdresser.

Dad: Gallaudet (Washington DC)
Mom: none

Me: UA (Actually AU too, but I don't usually admit it )

4 grandparents: U of Arkansas
parents: U of Arkansas
brother: U of Arkansas
all cousins: U of Arkansas

Kind of a no brainer that I'd go to Fayetteville too. Best decision I ever made.
