Funny that Texas has approximately ten counties with less than 1000 people in living in them. All of them with significant land area.
For instance...Loving county has 41 people in a 669 sq mile area.
The poor Texans who live in these places don't have anybody BUT their sisters and cousins available.

Alabama is basically the stereotype for inbreeding, much like Mississippi is for racism.

There is some truth here. Louisiana is the only state in the south that is shrinking every year in population. People who can flee are fleeing. Sidewalk will be along shortly.
