Kentucky was by far the worst football atmosphere that I have experienced in the SEC.
Was it UK, or just the opponent for that game that left the fans flat? What lot were you partying in?

Baylor was using that pic on their recruiting brochures when I was in high school

Rice games = no atmosphere whatsoever. There are things they do to try to generate atmosphere, so I will give the university credit for trying. However, when the majority of students and alums have only witnessed bad teams, it's kinda hard for them to suddenly be enthusiastic.

The ones I witnessed:
1. Michigan - game day is completely and vastly overrated. Went to the Ohio state game at that in 2007. Ann Arbor was overrated . It's just filled with wanna be hipsters hanging out in coffee shops.
2. Washington -Seattle is awesome . In terms of the weekend trip it ranks in the top 3 i have been on. Unless your sailgating it sucks donkey balls. The bars around campus were good but it lacks a college game day fill. They just park at the stadium about 2 hours before kickoff and get loaded on micro brew beers . The woman scene was legit .
3. Va Tech- overrated. I would rather hang out in a trailer park in Alabama on a tues night than va tech for game day.
4. Florida- Gainesville has a ok scene with the bars lined up on Univ Blvd. their fans are the absolute worse. Complete fricking jort wearing assholes. The rednecks were the good fans that's not saying much bc they are vastly overshadowed by the northeast cocksuckers that transplanted to south Florida

UK's game day atmosphere is ok. They were a fun bunch . I love the Uk trip . I mainly hangout at Keeneland the whole time. Plus the weather is a huge getaway from the sweaty ball sack humidity of Baton Rouge

Hey at least the trailers are rocking

For a 100k stadium, Texas is pretty piss poor. They shove all the students into the furthest corner of the stadium, most of the best seats are owned by Austin corporations and an unusually high number of "normal" season ticket holders are just Austin residents who are fans that didn't go there. It has a real NFL type atmosphere.

"The Library"

Starkest contrast I've ever experienced was going to the 2010 Nebraska A&M game, then going to the t.u. game. The 90k at Kyle Field sounded 10x louder than the announced crowd of 100k at DKR. It was crazy.

This nothing. You should see Vanderbilt's stadium when Alabama visits. It is comical.

One of the best times I had for college football games was Austin . In game atmosphere was gay as frick though.
Forgot to include my 5th one.
Norte fricking dame . Yeah their campus is liking walking through a museum but their tailgating scene is god awful . Plus you are in northern Indiana no matter how you spin or slice it . We crashed a House party near the stadium afterwards . Come to find out they were meth heads. Bolted my happy arse back to Chicago after that

The biggest problem is that during any given game around 20-30k people in the stadium aren't even paying attention, they are discussing local business deals. They also give a shockingly low number of student tickets out for a school of 50k (something like 15,000 I think).

Vandy doesn't try to talk shite to Bama, though
Baylor fans love to brag to A&M all the time about..................something or other.

It really is more of a pro game atmosphere, like you said.

they went 7-6 in 2010, youre thinking of 2011. when our most disappointing team in decades beat the shite out of their best team ever on kyle field
Posted on 8/4/13 at 2:17 am to WestCoastAg
Yeah I corrected it. Regardless this is their best string of success in a long time and they still get outdrawn by their opponents.
