It would be more relevant if we could poll actual FBS coaches. I think we all know the answer to this one. No FBS coach worth a shite would choose the piggy's if an offer were extended by both. Its just the way things are. And congrats on the all time head to head. For 80 % of its existence A&M was no bigger than rice. Welcome to the new reality.

Holy shite this thread is still going? Is Palooza still mad?

Don't want to read through this but I'm assuming A&M fans have bragged about their recruiting grounds, alumni support, wins, conference championships, and winning percentage advantage? While also pointing out they were an all-male military school for a long time?

I'm also assuming Arkansas fans have bragged about the head-to-head record, top 20 finishes, top 10 finishes, top 5 finishes, and major bowl advantage? While pointing out that a large portion of their conference championships and good amount of A&M's historical success comes during this all-male military school time frame?

I was fricking around early but this thread needs to die, so I'll be serious. They're both great coaching destinations with a lot of money and great facilities. Total football facilities is a wash all things included with A&M having a better stadium that will be much better soon. They both have had problems historically with boosters/politics dictating certain aspects of the program. A&M has historically outrecruited Arkansas and Arkansas has historically beaten A&M.

Going forward for anybody speaking in absolutes one way or the other, the quickest way to lose money is to speak in absolutes about the future. Things can change quickly in college football, nobody fricking knows whats going to happen one year to the next.

I'll cheer for A&M in most games except when you figs visit Fayetteville.

16 pages sure is a lot for an obvious answer.

That answer is Arkansas

typical ag spin. Your need to spin speaks for itself. You thought this would be a landslide. I guess that's why it took you 5 pages to show up in your own flame thread.

If you're going to sig quote Palooza look back on page 2 for a classic. Not enough room for sig but still classic.

Your fellow piggies should take note of that.

No, I thought it would be a fun thread. And it was.

BUT NOW THAT YOU MENTION IT

When you do a count of non-Aggie or non-Arky votes in this thread, the tally is:

Arky: 14

A&M: 20

So you are correct its no landslide no matter expectations. Its closer than the game score will be in two weeks.

It was a retaliation thread, but more because of what hawginthec's thread became. This is much more a retaliation thread then a real thread.

In reality Arky has pulled its last two coaches from the NFL bench and one of the B1G's bigger programs, while A&M has gotten a NFL retread and a Conference USA coach that is buddies with a BOR member. Reality shows Arky can hire top coaches.

I am happy to give credit where credit is due. Just like I expect every Arky fan to accept the fact that despite high profile coaches Arky will never out-recruit A&M consistently ever again....

We never have consistently and probably never will. Doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things if you use history as a metric for the two programs.

You never responded to my serious post....

Exactly the needed response. That is why I like Arky fans so much, yall are there to keep us humble in the A&M 2.0 era.

Plus, I will be honest, yall are like the bridge from the Big 12 to the SEC IMHO.

I am sorry but your post was too damn good for my shitty thread. You pretty much nailed everything I would have said if I was being serious in someone else's shitty thread.

Well, I would have mentioned ocelot4ark's point that yall are better positioned in baseball or basketball. I never specified what sport really, and yall have a mens BBall championship in the SEC era, and a better baseball program currently. I hope we can improve our baseball program with our new stadium (we are proud of it) but I don't expect basketball to perform until we are willing to money whip real coaches. Yall have a clear advantage there.

There you go, validation and real conversation.

Yea well you're gay.

In all seriousness the bridge comment is very true. We both hate Texas and our fanbases are usually pretty good to each other IRL, other than Jerry World. I get pretty embarressed thinking about how I've seen Arkansas fans act to A&M fans at Jerry World.

Dammit no!! Not you too!!!

In all seriousness that is why I will look forward to playing Arky for the rest of my life. The rest of the SEC, with little experiance with us, has latched onto the "no cheerleaders means you are gay" thing. Which is fine but boring.

Meanwhile Arky knows our true selves as the weird little underachievers. Plus yall have great fan support, a fun mascot and traditions, and lots of history with us (yall totally fricked us out of national title some year in the 70's I am told).

Don't throw away what we have together bro...

And I get very embarrassed by the way I have seen A&M fans act in that game. We really can't hold our beers, some of us go off the charts stupid.

arkansas, the climate is better and the terrain is prettier. it's also not so damn big. both places have shitty airport connections so getting out of them is tough. i have been to both towns and simply cannot see myself living in college station.

Lets bring this into a real time discussion from a the perspective of true objectivity:

1) Would you rather coach a team that is quarterbacked by the reigning Heisman winner, finished last year ranked in the top 5, currently ranked in the Top 10 and coming off a respect earning revenge game slug-fest with the reigning National Champion

....OR....

2) Coach a team that last year had less wins than Texas A&M final ranking, is no where near being currently ranked, and coach is trying to match the LSU/Alabama power game with recruiting ranked at the bottom of the conference?

It's Pretty Simple
