A&M. Living in Texas and Texan fans as opposed to Porkers. Better academic institution.

I'd say Arkansas but it's close
Texas A&M has had the same resources for a very long time and has yet to capitalize on it. Many of their fans are telling us to stop focusing on their "past" and focus on their "potential". Hasn't that potential always been there?
Once Texas is back, it will only get harder for A&M

Hilariously false.

I am not saying that Bielema will be that successful but it would not be unprecedented if he was.
You are both in the SEC now, not the Southworst Conference. A&M will have a huge natural recruiting advantage over Arkansas. It's a job much better set up for success.

What are these new resources then? The association with the SEC? If so,
Haven't you always been in Texas, had $$$, and have had a larger stadium than Arkansas for most of your programs history? In theory Texas A&M should not have a losing record to Arkansas
I would say you guys have underachieved

Well, yes, we've always been in Texas, dumbass.
We most certainly have not always had money. We were a poor, all male, cow and military college for a long, long time. The big programs wouldn't even play us in College Station - that's why we played LSU in Baton Rouge every year.
And despite all that, we've still won more games, had a higher winning percentage, and won more conference championships that Arkansas. And now, for the first time in history, we are going to not only have an elite stadium and facilities, but we're also going to be able to sell to Texas recruits as the only SEC team in Texas. We've never been so well positioned before. Ever.

Man there are some salty ags up here in this thread. One thing is for certain: this thread completely backfired on the op.

TAMU doesn't have a recruiting advantage over us. The culture of TAMU is a huge turnoff to most top recruits. TAMU is not the cool school in Texas. It is the weird, military/conservative place. Top recruits aren't Lee Ermey. Their black coach has temporarily mitigated this but Sumlin will probably get out of their sooner rather than later.

For every recruit who turns down A&M because of the nutsqueeze element, there's a recruit who won't go the Arkansas because of Deliverence factor.

How about Sumlin is just a fricking good coach? How about that, not his color?

if you actually think A&M jumped from outside the 20 most valuable football programs over the #10 most valuable football program in a matter of 9 months then you need help. Arky is worth more than Aggy. :DWI:
Arkansas isn't a top ten "valuable" program unless you include facilities in to the equation, and even then Texas A&M is building a $425 million stadium, and just received $741 million in donations, which is $300 million more than tu has ever received. I don't know by what metric Arkansas would ever be more valuable than tu. Y'all are getting phased out. :DWI:

Absolutely.
ETA: cardboard you could start this same thread but put stAte or UCA instead of us if you need a little pick me up. Although, Conway is a pretty cool town, maybe you should just stick with stAte.

Not really. I just wanted to move on from the lovefest to some game week shite talk.
Mission accomplished.

I wouldn't even care if A&M had more money in its coffers than Arkansas. They fricking SHOULD. You have had 50,000 or more student going back at LEAST 15 years. We don't even have 25,000 student yet and were around 16,000 in 1999. The state of Arkansas is freaking TINY and doesn't have the oil money of Texas.
Bragging about being richer than Arkansas (if true; congrats on getting out of debt), is akin to Fiji rubbing their noses in Aspen's face because they don't have beautiful beaches.
If we're talking just football, I could see this being a discussion. A&M definitely has some advantages. It's definitely a frickton easier to recruit there just because you can roll out of bed and have guys within 2 hours. But that hasn't helped them all that much (UT and A&M are two of the most underachieving programs in history or Texas recruits are overvalued by recruiting services). I tend to think the spread offense taking over the state has hurt somewhat, especially in the trenches.
But outside of football I think Arkansas is a better situation in baseball, basketball, and track. I have no idea about the other sports.

Probably would have been better reserved for the week these two teems actually play.

A&M
Because I've been to Arkansas.

Um, we out recruited Arky before we had the SEC or Sumlin. Only time in our history Arky recruited better is when both programs were in the SWC and y'all had that big rivalry with Texas. Recruits in this state haven't given a shite about Arky since then.
Say we will frick up our advantages because we are Aggies, but don't lie and deny the advantages. Arky will never out recruit A&M consistently ever again.

If you are into hot chicks Arkansas, if you are a "man's man" the aggy's have a home for you

Are we talking about right now? A&M and it's not even close. Money, recruiting, stadium, fan support and a top 10 team. In the past I would have went with Arkansas.
