I'd actually love to see Texas join, if there were some way to keep them from killing the conference. But even if Texas agreed to be an equal partner, they'd just renege on that agreement later.

We have too many as is. It's made the conference less than what it was. CFB thrives on tradition and seeing the same faces regularly friends, enemies and 'frenemies.' The current number makes the conference unwieldy and waters down relationships, rivalries, and traditions.
There are a lot of "Lost Rivalries" that expansion did in and we're worse off for it.

It seems self-serving for an Aggie to name Texas, but... umm... Texas.
I'm not an OU fan, either, but they'd be WAY higher on the list of desirables for me than Texas.
Others here in the past have mentioned wanting couch-burning West Virginia. I think that would be a big mistake unless we're all looking to give UT a break on the backwoods hick shtick.
If the SEC is going to expand it makes the most sense to me to look east into NC and VA in particular.

You are absolutely right, Prof! The SEC hasn't been the same since expansion. I hate those trips to Missouri! I don't know who the genius was that decided that Missouri was in the East, but he needs a geography lesson. Haven't had the "pleasure" of traveling to the arm pit of Texas yet to see the billions A&M is throwing around trying to prove that they belong in the SEC - and above all, impress those folks in Austin.
It's my belief that the expansion lessened us, as a conference, screwed up scheduling and sent us on long boring treks to places that have actually had travel warnings issued for minorities. What was the SEC thinking??

Obviously not a SEC fan, but personally liked the conferences how they were before. Doesn’t seem like y’all are that thrilled with ZoU and A&M either. ( I guess you guys like the access to Texas recruiting...)
