Interest free. Given inflation we made out like bandits.

How much has Arky spent on the stadium? We will spend more in a update than your stadium's total worth.

You didn't pay it back, it was free.

Eh. 16 million gets lost in all the billions.

The stadium itself?
Mainly small stuff, new field, video board, cosmetics, other renovations, stuff like that.
Right now there is a new football complex under construction as well as a IPF for basketball and a IPF for baseball that should break ground soon. Then there is some other upgrades for some secondary sports but they could get bumped back if the need to expand DWR-RS is needed before we get to that, luxury suites are needed badly once the stadium is expanded we will have the most in the SEC and will probably still have a waiting list on them.
At some point Barnhill will be torn down and a new facility for volleyball will be built to replace it.
There is a master plan for all of it, SunHog would be the one to ask to explain the cost and phasing of all of it, he has the pics/drawing and specs of all of it.

Didn't the chancellor speak up about it and end up losing her job over it?

No the president. A lot of that is that we had a better option for the spot thanks to Bush.

Most expensive stadium in college football history.
Largest in the SEC.
Deal with it.

Found SunHog's most recent thread on the current going on with our facilities:
As you can tell the green check marks have been completed or breaking ground now. It does leave the north endzone expansion.
This would be the initial North End zone expansion, when the south end zone was expanded back in the early 00s, every thing was done so the stadium could be expanded in phases such as this when needed. The next phase would be an upper deck in the north end zone, then more could be added at top each end zone. IIRC the max capacity was around 105-115k or so before the stadium would have be torn down and started over.

We do not have to start from scratch.
So we have $400 million to spend elsewhere, on other things, that is $400 million aggy will be further behind the rest of the SEC in the facilities arms race.

No it's 400 mil we have that you've never spent in your history. Like I said, do a little research before you post.

Why would you laugh at a program that's made you their bitch?
Very odd if you ask me

So when do you break ground on this new stadium?
We will have our new football complex completed next year, far more important as far as recruiting and development of players than a stadium.
But hey, you guys are getting a new stadium, maybe in 15 years or so you can catch up to the rest of the SEC when it comes to the rest of the facilities.

Sheesh. The first time I thought it was just a typo. Inherent. Does UA require a GED?
All this talk about money and endowments makes me want to puke. Far too many A&M fans are bragging on this stuff when it has little correlation with athletic records. Ask Texas (or for that matter Harvard). We'll be fine and the finery certainly won't hurt. But Kevin Damn Sumlin is what will get it done.
