Auburn probably has it worse. As long as Saban is at Bama they are going to be out recruited and out performed by their big brother. And with Georgia and LSU going after the same recruits it sure doesn't look good for Auburn.

You might not like it but the truth is Auburn played one of the hardest schedules in the country. It's also true that we lost our big games away from home. Not sure why those can't both be true

True it was a hard schedule. But hard schedules don't pay out unless you win most of the hard ones.

Lost to Clemson
Lost to LSU

Beat UGA
Beat Bama

Lost to UGA

2-3 in the tough games don't mean much unless you're looking for a consolation prize.

I'm sure you know this, but you're pissing up a rope.

I just like to give credit where credit is due. I realize we are rivals, but rivals can respect each other, too. And it's just silly not to acknowledge the season Auburn had.

I think LSU was the key for them. If they had beaten LSU.....

Where did I disagree?

The original point was that AU didn't play toughest schedule in SEC. No doubt u still gotta win em and AU didn't

How do you figure your schedule was any harder than anyone else in the SEC-W? The only one you played differently was Clemson, which was ranked lower than FSU before they lost their QB. You played GA twice, and lost one of those when it was not at home. Your schedule excuse is weak

Must not have clicked that link....

I'm not using it as an excuse either. I just responded to your tantrum about AU not having toughest schedule. To win the SEC u gotta play and win against a tough schedule. AU didn't get it done

Carolina and it's not even close. Auburn has 2 sec titles and a national championship in the saban era. We have jack shite

This but I'd say it goes beyond just the Saban era. Auburn has a long history of success. South Carolina doesn't. It can point to building itself up over time but Clemson can counter that with "Spurrier's gone" yadda, yadda, yadda.

That's not to say that South Carolina doesn't have tons going for it but that to change perception of the football program it will take more. If Muschamp can win the SEC (not just the East but the conference) that would go a long way.

A slower way would be sustained but not ultimate (think titles) under Muschamp while Clemson stays out of the national title picture (they don't have to fail but if they're out of the title picture it will matter). I think that scenario could could even things out for SC.
