The problem is that some UGA fans are scared of change
False. If Saban said he would take the UGA job I'd drive to Athens and box Richt's shite up myself. It has nothing to do with change, it has to do with what you said later in that we KNOW that richt is a winner, and has won at a very high level very consistently. The chances are much less than 50/50 that if we were to fire him that we would get somebody better. That's just being smart about the decision.
With Auburn, Chizik was clearly a dud that was dogshite his whole coaching career, both at ISU and Auburn. His one shining moment he had one of the best players in SEC history and an elite OC to carry him. Bama with Shula, ok coach that won 10 games here and there, but never got close to the heights that Richt has. Fulmer was clearly losing control of that program by the time he left. Zook hadn't really done much of anything at UF. None of those situations are like ours. It's easy to say "oh, well look at the NEXT coach those schools got that took them to a title", yeah well..those schools weren't in our situation.

unfortunately not part of the SEC national title run though,, I guess Mack Brown crashed the party for you one year
texas has had nothing to do with either 02 or 05. And how the hell did you think we had 0 SEC titles under richt?
Do you know anything at all about UGA or do you just spout off stuff randomly?

Saban
Spurrier
Miles
Malzahn
All 4 have losing records, causing the world to implode and all life to end; however, before that happens, ESPN spends 16 hours detailing what each one needs to do to keep their jobs in 2015.

Its also not necessarily they deal with richt, but are more afraid of what could come without him. New coaching hires have become a touchy market. you never know what you are going to get. One bad hire could result in many, that results into destruction of a program. Look at Tenn.
Hell, look at Bama after Stallings.
Look at Auburn after Tuberville or Dye.
It's always hit or miss, even with a coach with a winning resume. Winning in the SEC is very different.
Thank goodness we didn't end up with Rich Rod, but if one remembers, when we originally went after him? He had just finished going 22-3 over 2 seasons at WVU. Heck, after his first season there (3-8) the guy went 57-18. He certainly looked like a winner there, based on resume.

I accidentally down voted, but I completely agree. Is AU wins this year, the Bamanation will be livid.

Can bert have a hot seat if he breaks every seat he sits on?
Posted on 6/3/14 at 2:50 pm to mizzoukills
Nationally?
Hot seat: Bielema, Holgorsen, Weis, Pelini, Jones
Fired:
-Muschamp if he has another season like 2013
-Ferentz if he doesn't win at least 9
Bill Snyder will likely retire before too long, and for good this time.

This is a weak troll.
A) If Boom survives we had a good year and are improving on the offensive side of the ball.
B) If Boom is fired, we move on to the next coach and get back on track with a solid hire. It's arguable the best job in college football. There will be good candidates.
