5 x and zero SEC CC titles, that's pretty much what I always hear, hey I'm on your side, I like Richt, seems like a good coach/guy.

They seem to think Richt is too nice a guy, too strict(boots too many players), not cutt throat enough, won't over recruit enough, etc etc, that's what I always hear anyway.

Of course many of these same fans wanted to ride Bobo out of town on a rail and related well to the fathead, airhole that is Grantham,..

The problem is that some UGA fans are scared of change. They know what they will get with CMR and dont want to risk regression. They are comfortable with 10-11 wins and a Sugar Bowl every so often.

Its also not necessarily they deal with richt, but are more afraid of what could come without him. New coaching hires have become a touchy market. you never know what you are going to get. One bad hire could result in many, that results into destruction of a program. Look at Tenn.

Tenn is a great example. UGA does not want to become that and they are not anywhere close to where UT was at the end of Phils tenure but it has been 8 seasons since UGA won the SEC and CMR is still getting to use his brownie points from the 2 titles he won at the begining of his tenure.

Yet he has never had that 2008 tuberville like season. Texas is another great example, although with a lot more politics involved.

I wish some of you brain surgeons would suggest who in your infinite wisdom UGA should hire if we fire CMR...

There's not an upper echelon coach out there whose better than CMR & not already at a destination job...

There's not many Coaches out there that I'd fire Richt to hire...

I agree Parkjas, albeit a very stubborn & loyal to a fault one. Richt finally has 2 of the best "O" &"D" coordinators in the game plus good position coaches who are great recruiters. IMO, he's got what he needs to win it all in the next 3-4 years. Will he? Only time will tell. How long will CMR hang around? Part of me thinks 3-4 years with the staff he's built, but he's more competetive than most realize so I could see him staying the 8 years It'll take to eclipse Dooleys 201 wins at UGA...

He is only 54 so he has another decade in him. But this will be Season 14 for him and more importantly Season 9 since his last SECC.

Muschamp is probably the only coach that is actually on the hot seat. Bielema will get another year, unless they go winless.

It's amazing that since 1939 UGA has only had 6 Head Coaches...

Thats 76 years & 3 Coaches, Butts(22 years), Dooley(25 years) & Richt(14 years)have accounted for 61 of them...

Griffith had 3, Goof 7 & Donnan 5...

I pretty much agree... FWIW I think he turns it around enough this year to stay in Gainsville. Your schedule is frickin' brutal...
