eh the schedule got harder, we are probably significantly better on defense.
If offense is as good, we will beat Miss St.
I am only worried about the good teams on the schedule.

Did you even bother to notice that we were 3rd in the West last year whereas State finished 4th with 2 more conference losses?
Not arguing that we will finish 6-2 (or better) in conference this year, just saying that losing to any one team by 30 points doesn't tell you where they finished.
State got destroyed by Auburn 49-10. LSU got demolished by State 37-7. So LSU must've been curbstomped by Auburn, right?

While they still have good talent I am worried there are too many missing pieces to the puzzle for LSU this season. They could challenge for the West title or be in a dog fight for last place.
Yes, I know LSU fans will just be in a tizzy over that... but I'm not saying that to troll them. This could be a really good LSU team or it could be a complete dumpster fire. I don't think it will fall into the happy medium.

3rd or 4th place.
Regardless, will be 7 years or 1 X in the last 11 years LSU will have played in a major bowl. And worse part is most of their fans do not realize this. Most LSU fans I talk to think they play in a major bowl game at least every other year or every 3 years. This is how clueless they are

You are definitely right and if we look back on history MSU would be dead in the water to LSU fans. I think he is meaning more along the lines as...
State has everyone back that beat you 37-7 on a knee.
LSU still has O, no new developments, and players are beating people or the pavement to get out of town.
