Tbf, most of us wanted to see him with at least 1 to 2 more QBs to make a legit judgement (I said I’d wait 3 different QBs for final judgement).
This is the correct thought process.

However, he absolutely made some head scratching in-game coaching mistakes…the USC game being the worst.

I was responding to your troll attempt by pointing out that we still beat you guys despite having a disappointing season. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s obviously a sensitive topic for you.

In week 4 LSU was 3-0, ranked #3, and had 2 first place votes. In week 10 they were 5-3 and unranked.
And then the wheels really fell off.

It’s not even LSU’s worst collapse. 1998 was way more crushing.
I’m 1997, we had finally beaten Florida at the height of their Spurrier powers. Senior heavy team. Kevin Faulk was the best running back in the history of the program.
And then Lou Tepper happened…
From preseason top 10 to 4-7.
I still hurt…

My guy it's not even the biggest collapse of the year. Penn State says hold my beer.

All on this board are victims, not just LSU. These excessive, gaudy, thoughtless expenditures are “accepted” by all in college football, especially the SEC and represent money that could spent more wisely.
The SEC head coaches collect a ridiculous $131 million/year. Another $270 mil for support staff. So $400mil total for “coaching”.
Americans work too hard for their taxes to be squandered (extorted) this way. Fiscal responsibility for colleges is no different than for the government. It is now time for someone to step up to create a more ingenious contract for coaches in which they can be rewarded but not allowed to extort. Maybe this is the time.

I was merely pointing out that LSU was not the only team that had fallen far from preseason expectations. If you can't face and admit the truth, just say so.

The failure to accomplish the expectations pale in comparison to the bizarre self inflicted way they have gone about addressing the situation. That's what will probably affect them long term, not that they didn't win a title or Nussmeir a Heisman.
