better job coaching not because the talent level is even.
talent difference is not as large as you want to make it out to be.

Every recruiting service disagrees with you. As does our trophy case vs. yours the last 5-10 years.

Nobody wants it to be anything. Auburn is a Top 7-12 team talent wise. Alabama is the #1/2 team talent wise (with Ohio State). Auburn is even with Alabama in some areas (most of the offense) and behind, but still solid, in others (most of the defense).

It's close enough that Auburn could certainly beat Alabama on a day playing well and coaching well and is probably the 2nd biggest threat on our schedule.

If Auburn's second string defense would start for any SEC team, then Bama's third string would.

Glad Auburn doesn't have any fans like that.......

Oh, Auburn definitely has trashy sidewalk alumni type fans. We just don't have nearly as many since we aren't the primary choice for most uneducated people in AL

It's annoying, but there are some positives that come with it, like how recruiting will always favor Alabama instate.

Ain't no way in hell that any Alabama fan I know would swap rbs with Auburn.

You must not hang out with the intelligent portion of your fanbase then.

Bama defense gave up 43, 30, and 35 in games last season.. and that defense is widely expected to take a small step back. Their offense is expected to be better.. and will probably be the best offense in the SEC if Hurts has figured out the forward pass.

Teams who can score in a shoot out and play a bit of defense can beat Alabama. Also have to consider the officials assigned by the REC

According to Rivals, for one example:

Najee Harris was not only the highest rated rb in 2017, but the highest rated player in the nation.

Damien Harris was the highest rated rb in 2015, also a 5 star.

Bo Scarbrough was the #2 rated rb in 2014 and #16 prospect in the nation. Yet another 5 star.

Jacobs was an overlooked 3 star but played great last year.

Emmons was a 5 star, buried on the depth chart, that transferred.

At Auburn, Johnson was a 4 star and Pettway a 3 star, and the rest are mediocre also rans. If you think Auburn's group of running backs are as good as Alabama's then you are dumber than the Alabama fans you chide.

Auburn could have a huge advantage at QB because they have a guy with perfect skills for their offense while Bama doesn't have a good fit at QB. If Stidham lives up to the hype then Bama vs Auburn could be a good game.

Not so. Alabama has a great fit for its offense on the bench, and if Hurts (last season's offensive MVP and this season's pre season #1 qb) hasn't improved his passing game, then he'll be the one riding the pine by the time Auburn rolls around.

Did you honestly not think thats what he meant by saying "AU o-line vs bama" ect.

he began with:
quote:

Petteway over Bo and Harris?

then went to:
quote:

How is Auburns O line compared to Bama?

the RB to RB comparison of the OP led almost everyone in this thread (except you) to see that he was talking talent vs talent position specific and not referring to o-line vs d-line.

I forgot that you rednecks struggle with reading comprehension and need simple sentence structures to understand a point.

Go back and read the OP then get back to us. Also, you've used moron & rednecks to describe people you've never met. If you've got to go that route to make your point, I think that speaks more to you than it does those you are trying to engage with.

No. If Jacobs was the best running back on Alabama's team, then ok, but there are 3 that are higher rated, and better.
