Which is the only place it matters. It’s similar to saying JG is better than x or y player because of stats when we all know JGs problem isn’t talent but rather his inability to just get it done when it matters most. He will out stat a lot of players but he isn’t necessarily better than those players.

Honestly wondering why USCjr fans are dick riding UGA so hard.
VOLS need to move past it and focus on Kentucky this Saturday. Guarantee the Cats will come to play.
Looking forward to a good Bama / UGA game. Likely going to be “Round 1” of two or even three this year.

UGA was a ‘house money’ game for us. Winning it would’ve been great but it wasn’t expected at all. We’ve already exceeded expectations for this season by putting ourselves in position to win far more games than anyone thought we could, especially the FPI. I’m just pissed we didn’t get to play OU because that game was our shot to boost the program and we very likely would have won it.

Prof... you've always been one of my favorite Vol posters, but you really seem to be struggling with the outcome this weekend. From getting upset about the grand conspiracy of a planned chop block to now losing the thread of your own post.
If the discussion is on "outscoring" UGA in the first half, no problems. Congrats on the first half trophy. If it's on outplaying, I think it's fair to assess that at a minimum, the fluke high snap at the start of the game has very little to do with Tennessee's play and everything to do with a miscue from UGA. Outside of that single play, UT didn't outscore UGA, and they certainly didn't outplay UGA. If anything, they held tough and prevented letting the game get out of control even though you were outgained 2:1 in the first half. Exceptional short yardage defense. This is a much improved Tennessee.
I'm not even saying UT played poorly, just stating that your assessment of "outplayed in the first half" is simply inaccurate.

The VOLS are not back, and I never said they were back. They are moving in the right direction - Up, considering we hit rock bottom - but that is all. Much improved from where we were, but a long way to go until we are back.

Vandy is the only thing keeping them from setting up shop in the SEC basement. At least Mizzou looks like they are getting better while UofSC needed a depleted Vandy for their likely only win this year.

As for the chop block I’m still pissed because it was intentional and planned. As for the outcome it was expected. There’s no struggle there at all. Our OL got whipped all game pure and simple.
