A half time speech? Oh good lord. I had nothing against this whole thing. But some of this is down right cringe.

I'm all for a female kicking if she can kick (and there have been females who could definitely kick, before).
Then I read her measurements (6'2", weight undisclosed but probably in the 170 lb range) and thought, they picked her because she would be more likely to survive getting her clock cleaned by a Mizzou ST player than a woman who could possibly get the ball up in the air enough to make it worthwhile.
It was a PR stunt, period. There are plenty of male Vandy students who could have done what she did, except they were all vaginally-challenged.
