Actually, if you read the text, it does disprove it.
By contacting those the reported supposedly quoted, they proved that he altered what they said.
By contacting him and the newspaper and not receiving any evidence showing the allegations he made without any corroboration in the story, they proved that he made up allegations without proof.
Reporters are REQUIRED to be able to provide this information. The fact he can't do so is not just a red flag, it's a blinking neon light saying that he falsified the key facts of the story.
But you can be too stupid to understand that if you want. UGA's retraction demand and the lack of the AJC or the reporter to be able to back up the contested facts that are the basis of the entire story are the proof that the AJC published a false story. UGA proved that the AJC doesn't have sources for their claims.
You really don't understand this? Or are you pretending to be stupid?

When a story is questioned based on facts and the publisher of the story has not presented the facts to verify the story for 5 days, it's disproven.
At this point the AJC is just waiting for the appropriate time to issue the retraction where they'll get the least amount of blowback. If the reporter had the sources he claimed, the newspaper would have fired back immediately.

Gannt doesn't fix legal problems either. He acts as a surrogate parent when the kid's parents live hundreds or thousands of miles away and can't get there in 30 minutes.
