Lol so if one year a system is put in a scenario where it can't reasonably determine a National Champ, that somehow invalidates the years where it did reasonably determine one? This year was the most unique, and exposed the flaws of the BCS, that doesn't mean it didn't determine a champion in years where subjective metrics couldn't overcome objective results.
Just because you get one defective part off the assembly line, you don't have to recall the whole product line. You just don't give the defective parts a seal of approval and destroy them before getting to market.
I mean even if you don't agree with my stance, you don't have to act like a baby about it.

You pretend that this year is the first year we had BCS controversy. Hello, Auburn?
There's been controversy more often than not.
You want to diminish what USC did that year?

It actually did what it was supposed to do. Matched #1 and #2 in the title game.

Even this isn't under NCAA auspices. The BCS will be renamed something else but it still is an outside entity. I believe this the case anyway.

I mean, a tu team lead by Colt McCoy was way better than Bama, but that's why you play the game, the better team doesn't always win, and teams aren't always at their peak through the course of the season. Results matter more.

UAT loses by 4 touchdowns if Party Boy Dareus hadn't taken him out.

You are correct. It still won't be "officially" recognized by the NCAA.

Okay, I'm starting to like this guy, in a 'drive slowly past the burning wreckage' sort of way.

Auburn/USC is also an example of the BCS not being able to reasonably determine a National Champ, but it was MUCH more objective than this last year. Literally the fashion in which TWO seperate games could have completely altered who the champion was without changing the win/loss record of the teams involved, that wasn't the case with USC/Auburn.

I seem to remember colt not moving the ball down the field very well while he was in.

That's good because I don't think Colt remembers anything.

I was talking in circles because the gumps are really afraid to acknowledge any of my points for fear of validating my whole opinion, when in reality they can just argue the merits like normal people. I'm getting bored. I had to throw gasoline on the fire.

I seem to remember about 5000 other teams moving the ball and even scoring early against Bama, only to have Bama adjust and shut it down.
He was in--what--like five plays? Then ran a designed play into the teeth of the Bama front.
Kind of stupid on their part, IMO.

The "the better team doesn't always win" was audience appropriate perfection.

lol Colt McCoy straight up quit, at least Tebow stopped at crying.

And it can be used in appropriate situations. However, in a 16 point loss, not so much.
