This fall we will have the first string talent to make a lot of noise, but not the depth, which in the SEC is obviously crucial. Thats why I say minimum of 3 years of good recruiting classes before we compete realistically for the west.

Recruiting for this class is already shaping up to be really good.

2247. Ole Miss, ironically, becomes the first school to integrate cyborgs into their athletic department. Ole Miss goes undefeated and wins the National Championship(sponsored by Google) with an an average win margin of 28+ points

2062 ... they will get there on a tie breaker and then get blown out by the east opponent. After this the program will drop football and pick up mens soccer .....

They're definitely on the upswing in recruiting, but even that is top heavy. Bama and LSU both have classes that are stronger top to bottom. OM will compete and maybe even beat some top teams, but winning the west will be very difficult for them for the foreseeable future.

I guess i don't know the difference between 3 top 15 players (5stars), 10-12 four stars and Alabamas 6 5stars and 18 four stars.
Please, enhance my ignorant mind of this top-heavy class you speak of.

Your best 1 year isn't better than the last 5 for LSu and Bama. A 7-6 season is pretty shitty IMO. I don't think OM will make the SECCG in a long time. It basically to Au's worst season ever and Arks worst in along while to keep OM out of the basement of the west. add in A&M to the west and I just don't see OM ever rising above the traditional top teams in the west Bama, LSU, Au and now A&M with Ark close behind. Sorry, I like OM but just don't see it.

I would be absolutely shocked if anyone outside the big 6 (save maybe TAMU) wins the SEC in the next 30 years (30 years is probably generous.. probably 50 assuming the SEC stays in tact that long). So I honestly don't think OM has a realistic shot.

Y'all had better keep recruiting for the trenches in a big way ... and it takes more than a few good years when it comes to the OLine.
A lot of Ole Miss fans like to compare their program to ours, but honestly, there is a difference.
1 - We got there in a down year for the East, although we still did what it took to get there.
2 - We were lacking depth on both sides of the line to compete at the time.
3 - We've had much better teams the past two seasons yet Georgia back-doored their way in with an easier schedule. Scheduling is everything in the SEC, especially if you want to get to Atlanta.
So, with all of that typed I'm inclined to believe it could be quite a while before Ole Miss makes it to Atlanta.
A - You've got to face Bama and LSU every year.
B - In all likelihood you'll face either SCAR, Florida or Georgia in coming years, sooner rather than later. You're Eastern foes are the weaker ones in 2013 if I remember correctly?
Ole Miss has a long ways to go on the OLine and depth on the DLine - but you gotta keep signing good classes in the trenches more than anything else. And you gotta find a real leader at QB. That's how it is done from what I can tell.

Would you be willing to kill yourself and video tape it for us if it happens that you are patently incorrect? I mean, let's even give you a break on that 30-50 year bull$#!+ and say, ten years?
If you don't think either SCAR, A&M and/or even Arkansas could win it all within the next decade, then you've not been paying attention. But when you claim that none of them could win it in the next fifty years ... then you're just on bath salts of some kind and you should probably go hang yourself and put yourself out of your misery.

Georgia tanked when they played USC for sure, but the entirity of the season showed Georgia to be better IMO. They certainly had better overall talent.
