But, I was assured by tRant that being ranked #1 in the middle of the season doesn't mean anything at all, ever... In no way is that a positive accomplishment for a coach.

Miss State fans really are the dumbest group of people on Earth. Yes we know. Mississippi has a very bad public school system. So it's not your fault. Still. Ole Miss fans seem to have signs of intelligence. Did they just get the smarter version of the Mississippians? Mullen made your irrelevant, Vandy like program relevant. He is literally the only reason anyone even knows who Miss State is outside of the SEC. You have won titles in absolutely nothing, have terrible academics. Mullen is the only reason anyone in the SEC even watched their team play Miss State. Before him, it was a bye week we all got choirs done for, because we knew we would win.

I have yet to see an answer about the decommitents from a UF yet, why are y’all dancing around the issue?

The obvious answer is the kids don't fit his system. He is going after bigger receivers than we had committed. Wants a bigger QB(going after Jones, who just got the OSU writers crystal ball to Florida). OSU fans are worried about Jones leaving for UF. Seems Corral wasn't Mullen's primary guy. Copeland left before Mullen. Thornton is leaving which will hurt sucks there. End of the day. He has the recruits he wants. He doesn't want all of Mac's recruits. Wait till signing day, we will see where we are. If we can grab Jones. Huge get for Mullen. If not. Well hope he can develop one of the guys on the roster(likely Trask).

Mullen is running off all the soft arse recruits.

Question for Miss State fans. How many times did Emory Jones visit Miss State and was he ever offered by Mullen?

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed The Kang. But he won the West with an 8-5 record

He won the West with an 8-3 record and then lost to NC Tennessee barely in the SECCG and then lost to Ricky Williams Texas team in the Cotton Bowl to finish 8-5.

Dan didn’t offer highly touted recruits outside of MS, AL, or LA. So no Emory doesn’t have an offer from MSU

I would rather he focus most of his efforts this and next year getting Jacksonville, Lakeland, and Orlando back for UF like Meyer had.

Then go national for a few key recruits. Maybe get back up to the North East for players like Jenkins and Harvin. Gonzalez knows the NE well, be a good guy to get in Virginia.

Enjoy going back to 4-8 yearly

This from a fan of a team that went 4 and 7, and had a 4 and 8 year more recently than Moo State.

Or you could be like Tennessee and flat out tell a kid a week before he is supposed to sign that he is no longer welcome.

Sign what?? The early commitment? Thats new to this year, and bound to happen. They have plenty of time to go thru the next round of teams looking for players.

Stop acting holier than now as if jimbo fisher wouldnt do the same if he had too.

Oh gaytorbait, mighty big talk for a team that had only 4 wins. State doubled your win total. So basically, you're talking out of the side of neck.

How many wins did Ole Miss average over that same time period, I am curious?

So, are you saying that mullen going from miss st to florida is a lateral move? If so, that is ridiculous. You can't blame mullen for leaving state to go to florida. He would have been an idiot if he stayed in starkville. I understand why yall are still pissed though. You lost your best coach in school history during the best times of your program historically, to a program that is stuggling, but is still a better program than yours. State has their coach now, so just move on and hopefully get some revenge on his hunchback, goofy arse next year on the field.

We've also been to four national titles since your last appearance. Won three.

So you were saying?

Mullen doubled our win total.

State was only his vessel.

Now. Remind me when your last SEC title was?

Your last national title?

Your last year being number 1 at any point with Mullen not your coach?

Yea...Miss State. A poor man's Ole Miss.
