My family had their car tires slashed on multiple occasions leaving Tiger Stadium in the 80s and 90s after an A&M win.

Haha...that's such a lie. First of all, aTm never had any wins against LSU in Tiger Stadium in the 80s. Additionally, LSU was so bad in the early 90s that nobody gave a shite enough to go through the effort of slashing tires after a loss because LSU was losing every week.

Yet another case of Aggy making shite up.

If it’s not championships, it’s something else..

The LSU win streak definitely had NOTHING to do with it

What is it? Seven of our last eight? If I were Aggie, I'd be mad at LSU too. Can't blame them, especially since their last win wasn't even legitimate.

Regardless, Aggie Nation will be pulling for the Longhorns next fall when they play LSU. That says something right there.

Uh couldn't be more wrong there baw. I think you're going to be surprised how much 'Aggie Nation' (not a real thing) support your team is going to get when LSU plays tu.

LSU would have kicked A&M’s asses those following years. You guys benefitted when we backed out.

For ever A&M & Lsu started the football season every year. It was always a good game & back then was considered a rival.

From a lifelong LSU fan and student the rivalry was enflamed when Jimbo was hired and turned into a nuclear reactor after 74-72 game. Lots of common connections with houston area too helps the rivalry

What started it?

The two fanbases haven't liked each other since the home-and-home games in the '80s and '90s (1986-1995). We played every year. LSU started off with the upper hand from '86-'88, but A&M was better by the end. LSU cut off the series.

Fun fact: By the end of the series, LSU was coached by an A&M grad (Curley Hallman) and A&M was coached by a Louisiana native (RC Slocum).

A&M isn’t mad at LSU.

A&M recognizes LSU as conference and recruiting rivals.

I don't think many aggy will be rooting for the Horns against LSU. I do know that after the Horns beat LSU and then LSU kicks aggy arse that we will hearing all kinds of excuses.
