So why does Les Miles not get credit for his champiosnhip? If Nick Saban does good in his 4th year at the Crapstone, will Mike Shula get all the credit for it?
I guess we will have to see how many Mike Shula recruited players are actually on the field playing if that happens. A lot of them have quit, some are huge contributors right now. I would prefer to look at all of our team as BAMA players.

The coaching staff advantage in my opinion definitely goes Saban's way. I have seen Clemson underachieve way too many times in Bowden's tenure to give him the nod in that category. I mean he has yet to win an ACC Title or even their Division in the time he has been there and the FSU excuse isn't valid anymore.

I actually think Alabama has a good chance to win this. Clemson's O-line is very green and that's not something you want in your first game going against Nick Saban blitzes.
Clemson has skill players out the wazoo but that doesn't matter if your line doesn't allow them the opportunity to do anything.

I think Alabama will show up for this game and beat yet another overrated Clemson team

+1 - I think BAMA will handle them.

I read some al.com article last year that said 17/22 starters for LSU were recruited by Saban. I'd be shocked if that's the case at Bama in his 3rd year.

As for the game, I don't see anyone getting blown out. People talk about our front 7 sucking and our LB core does, but I've been hearing good things about our D-line from practice. Not like we're bad arse or anything, just better than expected.

I'm torn over who to root for in this game, and in Alabama out of conference games in general, even including bowl games now since Saban has taken over. This game doesn't really affect our chances in anyway, if I'm correct, since the SEC West's representative in the SEC Championship Game is determined by their in conference record. Thus, if I was gonna have an opportunity to actually want Alabama to win a game, this would be it, esp. since I have no real reason to like Clemson... but I just don't wanna see Alabama succeed.
I mean I love rooting for SEC teams, its one of the reasons that I enjoy college football more so than the NFL, b/c I have so many teams that I pull for and I legitimately give a shite if they win (ex. I kind of like a few teams in the NFL but the only team I actually care about winning is the Saints). I watched and pulled for Tennessee the past 2 seasons when they played Cal and I pull for pretty much any other SEC teams playing out of conference squads and especially during bowl season.
But since Saban took over coaching over there and through my interaction with Alabama fans via this website and reading their posts, I just can't bring myself to actually root for that team to succeed. I've never disliked Alabama before, in fact, I've never really had an opinion of them one way or the other. But this site has made me legitimately despise Alabama. I literally can't imagine how arrogant and retarded those people are going to act if they start winning again and I just can't bring myself to see them be successful. Its gonna happen sooner or later, there's no doubt in my mind, Alabama is too good of a program and Saban too good of a coach for that team to not be back in year in and year out contention for the SEC. The Gumps are going to be so damn insufferable when this happens I can't even imagine.
I mean I was pretty pissed at Auburn after that 2006 game, and pretty pissed is an understatement if there has ever been one, but their fanbase has never bothered me. I rooted for them in their bowl game that year even though it wasn't easy (I still think we got robbed in that game and that it cost us a National Championship shot but I digress) but I don't even know if I can pull for Bama in their bowl game this year, and that's crazy b/c I pull for every SEC team in bowl games pretty fervently.
Case in point, I'm pulling for Clemson in this game and it pains me to say that... any other SEC team and I would w/o a doubt be rooting for them, but I just legitimately can't stand Bama now. And its not even like cordial/respectful rivalry type feelings like I have with Auburn. I legitimately can't stand Alabama fans or their team anymore and it kinda trips me out...
does anybody else kind of feel this way?

Yeah, LSU used to be my 2nd favorite SEC team. I would always pull for you guys unless you were playing Bama. This board hasn't really changed anything for me because people act retarded with the anonymity of the web. What really did it, is me living in Houston. There's a helluva lot of LSU fans here and some of the stupidity is just unbearable. My favorite quote from a guy at a bar is "the best thing Nick Saban did for the state of LA is sign Daunte Culpepper so the Saints could get Drew Brees."
Fwiw, I strongly dislike the majority of the Bama fan base.

I imagine when Bama starts winning again, the Gumps will deal out roughly 20% as much shite as they've been given lately, and it will be glorious. And you know it's coming, which makes it worse.

I can understand, eventhough I'm a nailbiter whenever LSU or Auburn plays OOC.

So you draw conclusions from interaction with maybe 20 posters on a bulletin board? I think your idea of the big picture is a 13" screen.

That's fine with me. Actually, I'd rather have it that way. Bump that shite factor up to 30%.

Well, we've heard Fear the Thumb, and then Fear the Hat.
All I can say to corndogs and barners is, "Fear the Fear."

Yeah I would say turning LSU's program back around and getting us that 03' title was a little better, but signing Culpepper to the Dolphins was pretty huge for us, I'm not gonna lie
Look I know Saban is a great coach and I'm pretty sure everyone on this site does too. I was pissed when he left (on Christmas Eve mind you
And I don't knock Bama for signing him, hell that was the smartest thing they could of done. But the insatiable arrogance and shite talking of Bama fans towards the LSU fanbase as a result has just been agonizing.
And yes there are exceptions of course, before someone claims that I'm making an all encompassing statement about Bama fans. I figure that it should be understood though that there are. BamaScoop seems to be one and hell maybe you too for all i know, I was just curious if any other LSU fans felt this way too.
I have a couple of friends of mine who personally know some hardcore Bama fans and their stories only uphold and reaffirm the horror that is Bama fans (like I said this is a generalization).

maybe you're the one drawing your conclusions a little errantly.
This site has provided many a link to Alabama sports forums. That's a lot more than 20 posters chief.
And its a generalization, I knew this wouldn't be understood by some, it never is, you always have to point it out to people when it should be understood...

Great point, Scoop. I wish we would've been seen the same way last year...as LSU players and not Saban's recruits.

Oh, ok. I was just going on what you'd posted. Sounds like you're backtracking, IMHO.
If I misunderstood the last quote, the ending of the first quote is even more ambigious. You don't have to point anything out to anyone if you have a coherent post. "You always have to point it out to people when it should be understood..." Huh?

I think that would be incorrect. I we were to defeat a top ten team and knock them out that would help all contenders for the NC in the long run. Also, it helps your strength of schedule if we beat clemson and y'all beat us. It is a win win situation for all SEC schools for BAMA to beat a ranked opponent outside of our conference.
That being said, I hope we win this game.

What do you expect from a guy who "despises" a fan base by reading boards on the internet?
