If I'm tailgating: beam & coke with bud lights.
If at home: Makers Mark and Guiness

If it's hot? A hard cider or planters punch.
If it's morning? Coffee with Baileys or bloody marys.
Otherwise? Jameson. Or hard cider, that's a football game beverage for me.

8:00 a.m. : wake up and start shooting jack daniels.
10:00 a.m. : keep shooting jack daniels and fire up the grill.
12:00 p.m. : slow down on the JD cause im already getting sloppy.
2:30 p.m. : pretty lit and rowdy for the game. Reduced back to miller lite.
End of the game : pretty hammered and im not sure what time it is. we win Ill go out and have victory drink at the local bar or with friends. we lose I continue to shoot JD till I blackout.
anything past this point is usually learned the next day from friends

Normally start with a couple of decent beers that are easier to handle in the morning with a hangover before moving to cheap beer and/or bourbon.
ETA: also depends on if I'm taking a date or if I have family in town. Don't normally make the swap to liquor in those cases. Made that mistake too many times.

I don't mind buying 400 if its only $120.
Yep. If you look on amazon you can buy like 25 or 50 at a time, but if you do the math it comes out to be a good bit cheaper to buy that bulk 400 box, plus 25 wouldn't last us one game day.

Jello shots are a complete waste of time unless you're dealing with a woman that doesn't like the taste of alcohol IMO.

It depends on who we are playing and the atmosphere. For the shitty, cupcake games like UT-Chattanooga, Western Carolina, Miss State, Florida International usually just beer and few whiskey drinks.
For the UT game, Wild Turkey 101. Gobble gobble you frick sticks.
For LSU, Makers Mark.
For Auburn, Crown Royal.

Lulz. You haven't had mine. We aren't talking little tiny jello shots here with barely any alcohol.
Come on down to BR for the game this year and I will treat you to as many as you can handle, which won't be many.

Jello shots were always a float trip thing for me. Or a teenage house party.

That said, I wouldn't turn them down!!

My wife just bought jello shot supplies for our float trip next weekend.
She also bought stuff to make vodka gummy bears, which we had at a tailgate a couple years ago.

I still maintain that they are a waste of effort, but I'm well aware that a lot of people are going to disagree.

Tailgating: On the hot day games, I'll start with gin and tonics, working my way to a nice light beer as a late evening after-burner to sustain the drunk.
On colder game days, I like to snuggle up with a nice fifth of Evan Williams Black. I normally don't cut with coke unless my parents are around. Can't have them thinking I'm an alcoholic.

Is it too redneck to say 195 proof moonshine? And I'm note even a redneck.
