By real classes, I mean tough classes. These guys are herded through the easiest classes the university offers and they get a ton of help on top of it all.

You seem racist. There is a difference in "country" and "unintelligent". BTW, one of the most intelligent man I ever met had a sixth grade education. He passed away in 1979 with over $6 million worth of stock.

Assuming someone's dialect makes them unintelligent is discriminatory. The fact the NM is an African American makes it racist.

Tennessee’s football team posted a collective 2.62 grade point average for the spring semester, with 38 players scoring a 3.0 GPA or higher, the school announced Monday. It’s the third consecutive year the Vols have been above 2.6.
The football team’s 2.62 GPA represented a third consecutive spring semester in posting a 2.6 or higher. Before the last three springs, the team’s previous record for a spring semester was a 2.59 in 2008.

so you can't call an aa person stupid? are we that pc? can i still call a white person stupid? or would that be reverse racism?
i suppose people might be more willing to give nick the benefit of doubt had he not done stupid things as well. if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck...

You can have an average of averages, and that is exactly what the OP refers to. Let me break it down: The GPA of one player is the average of all of HIS grades. The average GPA of the team is the average of the averages for ALL players.

If Marshall played for Bama then these Aubies would be racist because they'd hammer him for his "dialect."

Bert has the players GPA up AND more importantly, his players haven't had any off the field issues. He is to be commended IMO.

I remember the LSU- Arkansas athlete of the game had like a 2.8 one year. In something like General Studies.
