2017 was unacceptable. To me, that loss was far more embarrassing than losing to Troy that year. No way should we ever lose by 30 points to that team. No way. Horrific. More embarrassing than losing to UAB in 2000. Losing to Miss. State is worse than losing to a strong group of 5 team. Gack!

Considering no one wanted your coach, including you guys, this is rich.

My favorite Ed Orgeron win was in the Superdome vs Clemson. Thanks for asking.

I think that 2007 game is why he's kind of conservative with his in-game decisions now. Ole Miss was up 14-0 and CEO gambled and went for it on 4th down, got stuffed and MSU came all the way back and that's what probably got him fired

I guess I don’t get it. mike Leach has had only mediocre success his entire career against weaker competition than the SEC has. I don’t understand why MSU fans now expect Leach to be a world beater with mediocre talent against the best players and coaches in all of college football.

I view Leach kind of like a Paul Johnson. They run a different kind of offense, but would never win more than 7-8 games a year.

Leach was at historical doormats; schools that are very hard to recruit to and he had more success than their historical norms. Also Paul Johnson had some success, two Orange Bowls I believe

Right. I am not saying that he can’t have an aberration here and there, but in his 18 years of head coaching he is averaging 7.7 wins per year. That is not that bad, but also not impressive...it is the definition of mediocre.

I suppose State would be happy with that though. Some years they could win 9 games, but other years 5 or 6.

That’s a perfect photo for you! Scut Farkus proceeded to get the arse whooping of his life by little Ralphie and was sent running home crying to momma, just like Miss State fans will be doing Saturday.
