For what? What is the expectation in 2012? They'll be replacing 2-3 on the O-line. They'll be starting their 4th QB in the past 3 years. The D will be better, but the O will still be young and have many of the same problems. Additionally, AU is at least 50/50 to be breaking in a new OC.
I think AU finishes 7-5/8-4 this year and 9-3/10-2 in 2012. I don't see "2012 is the year" meaning that AU wins the SEC or the National Championship.
Do ALcapone and/or TTsTowel feel like it is the championship year?

Give it up man. We are right where most folks predicted us to be this year. We might be a lil better than folks thought,but we got a long way to go. Our offense is shite til we find a consistent QB. Defense is getting better and has made a few stops here and there. But the D is gonna have to prove itself against a stronger O than it has so far. The talent is there,but its gonna take time my friend before we are a team that folks dread playing. Hey it could be worse. We coulda been favored to win it all and ended up battling for 4th in the SEC west. FWIW I think 2012 we are gonna be a team that is gonna be in the chase and still young. The years ahead do look bright! WDE

LSU and Arkansas will be for sure better.
Bama loses a lot, but they still get Auburn at home next year.
A&M won't be bad either.
Auburn is the 4th best team in the West next year. You guys had a once in a generation player come along last year. That doesn't mean you guys will be a top 2 team in the West every year now.
It's still LSU and Alabama's division.

A near loss to Utah State at home will do that to you. New starter at QB. The losses weren't close (14 and 24 points, allowing 38 both times).
The SEC wins are against Florida and USCe, who people are beginning to believe are pretty bad.
That being said the SEC does seem pretty weak. Auburn is probably the fourth best team behind Alabama, LSU, Arkansas (in no order). They have been much better than I expected this year, except for the Utah State game. That being said Miss State and USCe have been much worse than expected. After losing a lot of NFL talent, Auburn has done a solid job. If they beat Georgia, then they'll probably end up with 8 wins. That is a good year in a reloading year.
