"Oh, we just did not want to show the rest of the SEC our weapons this past weekend so we played very vanilla offense and defense"

Seriously?

I just heard a few callers cal into the radio station here in Mobile saying this.

I think Auburn fans are in a world of shite this season.

You realize all the dumb shite people say on the radio these days? On my way home from school, I heard some guy say Arkansas was for sure gonna win the SEC this year, and MSU will dominate the SEC the next few years

I don't call them "Barners" because I actually have respect for them. I mean they did beat our arse last season and won a National Championship. I call them Auburn Fans.

.... and by the way, I did not just hear this on the radio. I have heard it in the office where I work an at lunch today.

You can call the stupid ones Barners. Every fanbase has their fair share of homer idiots

Anyone can drag anything they "hear" from someone they know into the SECr and demand we defend it.

Some people are above asking an entire fanbase to defend what obviously stupid people are saying.

That said, I'm not panicking like everyone else yet because it's one game.

The little that I saw from the game it was pretty vanilla. They didn't pull anything that was too crazy. That being said most of the AU fans (you guys on here) are not letting things just lie down. You realize that something needs to be done to compete in this league before it gets out of hand. I mean you don't want this happening going into week four. I think that AU is better than what was shown Saturday, and the team just didn't believe that this Utah St. team was going to come out playing like they did; OK v Utah St. game last year or not. That's last year and a different team.

Make less threads.

I guess this gives me a right to make a thread every day about what Legend says.

Could have been a Bama fan posing as an Auburn fan, would not be the first time that has happened. Their offense should be OK, their defense played the run well last year but was gashed by Utah State. I was surprised at the way their defensive line got pushed around. Other than Dee Ford bringing some pain at the end of the game, that was a pretty bad game.

fwiw I do believe we played a vanilla offense because an offensive player told me that

defensively, there is no excuse

the offense wasn't bad. they scored a good amount of points for the number of plays. they just didn't get the ball very often.
