You call them Auburn people, but some are just employees or disgruntled players. The environment allowed them to feed off each other.

Are you saying employees of Auburn and Auburn players are NOT Auburn people?

AUs reputation is something that is being fed by other outside the program.

Partially. And partially fed by what is going on there and has gone on there in the past.

enemies of the program.
You mean those employees and players?

quote:

Bottom line is every program or organization have disgruntled employees, when those individuals get traction you will see what you see at Auburn.
I have not seen this at any other program. Can you name some programs that this has happened at? False rumors directed at the coach and an attempt to fire him with an investigation that was proven to be false?

quote:

The fact the University is in the Top 5 of satisfied employers in the State is being ignored.

And yet in this post you literally blamed all of this on disgruntled employees and players.

That’s the prevailing mood. Harsin just needs more time to get his guys in there and establish his culture. He’s got another 2 years at least to get that done.

Nah. He’s gone. There’s nothing about his tenure to be positive about. There’s no recruiting classes to look forward to. He’s done very little in the portal as well. He’s already replaced 4 coaches.

Exactly! Give the guy more time. Let him prove, given adequate time, he can’t get it done.

That’s not what I’m hearing. Apparently he said all of the right things to the right people and cooled down the temp around him.

No. He doesn't. There is a reason he rarely (if ever) posts on the Auburn board.

quote:

Aubie is attempting to handle this quietly and professionally as possible and is not responsible for what went down two weeks after last years IB and the first of this year.
Who was responsible, then? Other schools? hardly. It was Auburn people one way or the other. It was either Auburn employees within the Athletic Department and players (As Puppets indicates), or it was Auburn boosters. Either way it was Auburn. you can't have it both ways.

quote:

Seriously and not being a smart arse....why don't one of you dawgs and your connections to Kirby ask him what he thinks about Harsin.

quote:

He will tell you in a heart beat Georgia is just fine as long as Harsin is at Auburn.

So, you don't think the false allegations have anything to do with his problems? And, for the record? Georgia has been just fine with most of your recent coaches at Auburn. We've done pretty well that past 20 years. Harsin is not the reason Auburn has struggled against Georgia.

We are hearing just the opposite.
There’s nothing he can do to explain away the poor recruiting and lack it communication with HS coaches. It goes way beyond his record.

Anything to do with legal liability regarding the failed coup attempt?

No. He’s not suing anybody. He’s going to walk away with what is owed to him and he’s gonna like it

Let’s just say Auburn did not behave nicely, but I wouldn’t be too worried. Like I said, Harsin is going to get more time to get his guys in and he will turn it around.

What people do not realize is Auburn is great place to live and the dollars go a lot further than most cities in the country. Then the the University Community is great. AU is ally a family type environment, but people outside think that is just a marketing phrase.

Money will be the key and Auburn has the money. They now have the FOF and that is a big attraction. The only area they are behind is JHS, and that doesn't affect a coaching staff or player. Great recruiting and location. AU has had 6 coaches since Barfield, 4 of them have homes on Lake Martin. None left on their own.

The lack of communication with HS coaches is obviously the most concerning, no doubt. There is no excuse for it. Add to that the "scandal that wasn't" last spring he is hamstrung. Auburn should probably go ahead and cut ties and be done with it.

I have several close friend who are Auburn graduates and they all love Auburn, so I can believe what you are saying here.

From "Auburn Tigers Fan HQ". An Auburn alum sent it to me.

"AUsome Family this will be my “Last Post” talking about Coach Bryan Harsin. and all the drama surrounding his future at Auburn. Let me first thank so many of you who supported my previous post concerning Coach Harsin. I have never known any coach who has been treated so unfairly like Auburn coach Bryan Harsin has been and still is being mistreated. How is it fair to hire a coach to lead our football program and after one season those who should have had his back at Auburn University tried to fire Harsin by attacking his character?! How is it fair to say Harsin couldn’t recruit because he don’t know the SEC? How is it fair to say that coach Harsin can’t relate to his players especially the black players because Harsin is a Northerner and the players are southerners? Foolish! Now fast forward. The talk is…….Bryan Harsin can’t coach, can’t develop quarterbacks, can’t make adjustments, don’t care about the team, and Harsin should have never celebrated with his team after the Missouri win! What? These young men are coach Harsin’s kids when they are under his watch. Harsin was right to celebrate with the players! I’m sure if it was Alabama who loss the game twice and Auburn won it nobody would be criticizing coach Harsin. If we are going to criticize a coach, criticize Missouri coach Eliah Drinkwitz he blew the game for his kids. And finally Auburn fans, it is so unfair and so disrespectful to have a coach on the job everyday who is trying to prepare young men for a football game and yet continue to hear all the noise about some other coach replacing him at any moment! This is wrong! I say, way to go coach Bryan Harsin for blocking it all out! The problem at Auburn is not Bryan Harsin. The problem at Auburn is the problem of the hearts of the power to be and some of our fans of this great University. You see the football program can be turn around. But the men and women who don’t have patience, love and kindness in their hearts…..only God can fix that! Coach Harsin, let be the first to say, I’m sorry for the mistreatment by some in the Auburn family. The loveliest village on the plains has become the “loveless” village to you at times! What a shame! What a shame! In Harsin I trust still! War Eagle!??????"

Absolutely. Too many bruised egos on both sides for him to continue on with him. Even if he pulled off some miracle and won 7-8 games I suspect he’d leave anyway at the first chance. And I don’t see him pulling that recruiting class up 40 places like it should be with this little time left. All he’s pulled from the portal are turds.
