What’s the starting annual NIL “payroll” to fund a top 5 recruiting class?

25 recruits per signing class give or take. Would $20-25 million do it? More/less?
Pricing will be interesting.

So too will be risk (pan out or not) and “free agency”.

This is hilarious coming from the fanbase who had no problem with Will Wade buying up basketball talent to waste yearly.

Now it's a bad thing to have strong arse offers

Surely they stopped giving Wade money to buy recruits after seeing he couldn’t do anything with all those strong offers

I thought about this as well.

I’d like to see Texas A&M offer each recruit $100k per year to each scholarship football player

So, if there are 80 scholarships, you’re looking at $8M per year.

That should be chump change once the new TV deal kicks in.

Ha! If you consider the revenue the footballers bring it, it’s a no brainer.

What will be interesting to see o we the years is if the unionize and do collective bargaining to secure a bigger piece of the pie.

This would be 100x better than what is going to happen. It's just going to be a disaster

Ok. It won't be direct, but the student athletes will know. Will also give them motivation to keep their asses out of trouble hopefully. Maybe even get a little education on how to hold onto that money. Will give NFL talent bargaining power for early entries. And it's tax deductible to businesses. Wonder what the "team car" of each team will be?

Pit Boss just needs to work with us. Make sure back ups and bench guys get paid too. Need depth, those guys important too.

5* = $100k a year for four years, renewed annually. Maybe more, there are only 30 or so each year. Top guys like Manning may command $250k a year.

4* Top 100 = $75k a year for four years, renewed annually.

4* Top 250 = $50k a year for four years, renewed annually.

I’m thinking a pool of $6-8 million is a good start.

LOL. You mean like when Saban casually mentions his seven figure we?

Or Miami marketing firm sponsors the entire team?

It will soon be ‘known’ that if you sign with X team you are guaranteed X money.
