It’s the promise of a big red & black hobnailed boot up your arse for the next 60 minutes of regulation

Why do you ask?

An ancient river runs underneath Sanford Stadium, the river Styx.

There's a mausoleum of dead mascots buried on the field, Dooley field, at Sanford stadium.

The hedges are 8000 years old.

You can look this up.

Goooooooooooooooo DAWGS! Sic Em!

Woof Woof Woof Woof Woof Woof

Styx is pronounced, "Tanyard".

That was a temporary name placed by pale faces. The original name was Okohoneeleka. Which is Creek Indian for "The Promised Land from God".

Woof Woof, but if you ruff ruff that's ok too as long as you spit on little kids in Auburn gear.

Listen, bud...barking is thirsty work. That's why Dawgs fans always keep some fine bourbon on the side to quench that thirst.

Not hard to fill that mausoleum up when the breed you chose lives five years if they’re lucky.

It’s actually, Go Dawgs! sic em. Whoo Whoo Whoo! Nobody actually screams ruff rug ruff or woof woof woof. Just like a dog wouldn’t actually bark ruff or woof.

Not true, Most Ugas have gone more than five years being the mascot alone.

Had a rough stetch there in the second half of Richt's coaching tenure. But for the most part they've given us a good 7 to 9 years as a mascot.

The better part of Georgias kickoff is the lone trumpet at the beginning of the game that plays the Battle Hym.

Not so. “Que” aka UGA 9 just retired and he is 10 years old. “Boom” aka UGA 10 replaced him on the sidelines.
Several UGAs have lived long lives and when they died they joined their ancestors in a beautiful mausoleum under the west stands.
One UGA died young from heart issues but overall our UGAs live an average or above average life span for English bulldogs.

In fairness you need to push at least one little old lady down the stairs, too.

Just long enough to see us beat Tennessee five times.

Wound think the UGA alumni tailgating in the graveyard would be far more freaky to some than a mascot mausoleum.
