know. Why? Ja'Marr Chase didn't and he was the first WR picked in the 2021 NFL Draft. Sooner or later more and more sports agents will be asking kids that same question.

Because you're not a piece of shite who actually live up to your commitments to your teammates and coaches? And you can actually improve your draft status and earn more money?

Chase was a unicorn coming off a once in a lifetime season with a record setting QB.

In terms of a player’s monetary self interests there is no difference and any further play could lead to disastrous financial results for them—again looking at it solely through that prism. The same rationale would apply to “meaningless” games they participate in during the course of the season and in a real sense once their draft stock is established virtually any game they play in thereafter is “meaningless.”

If only more players shared my mentality. However, you're starting to see fewer and fewer of those as more and more players opt out for "meaningless" bowl games.

And you don't think this will become more common place as offensive production levels continue to increase?

If you're going to role play here you have to go all in from the beginning... Now go edit your very first post.

After seeing your image, I can see now why Tennessee lost. Thanks for clearing that up.

So those Sugar Bowls against Utah and OU weren't meaningless after all?

If I'm a GM and a player sits a chance for the Natty, I will likely not draft him.

Sitting big games could also cost you.

It's not a problem for coaches so it shouldn't be a problem for players.

and if they are going quit on their teammates in college they will do the same in the pros.

They are already doing it in the pros I’ll use Michael Thomas as an example. Got the big paycheck then got banged up refused to do what was advised and is now on his second year collecting big money without playing!

Did Brady do that in Tampa? Did Brees? There are countless examples that counter your point.

I was referring to sitting out
the entire season and playoffs.

It'll take a perfect storm of talent and the right offense.I also believe the Covid bullshite played a part in the Chase decision.

Do draft prospects for a player ever really exponentially change

LOL

Exponentially doesn't mean what you think it does.
