Two teams outside the top 12 are getting in. (Clemson and Arizona State)
Alabama and Miami are out.
Now, you can argue what is fair and what is not...but then FSU would want to join that conversation. I just can't see the committee bumping SMU down because they lost a close game in a CCG and allowing an idle Alabama to stay in.
They have done some crazy stuff before, so I guess we will just have to wait,, but for fans to start speculating about how their team would have done with different schedules is dumb, at best. If you had had SMU's schedule and got bumped for an SEC team you would be arguing "No way would Vanderbilt and Oklahoma have beaten us!". Yet they did.

LOL at Arizona State and Boise being seeded 3 and 4. The whole selection process and seeding for the playoffs is a joke.

You may very well be correct, but if they are and SMu is out, I don't think it is the travesty of justice that many will cry about here.
Like others, Bama had the chance to take it out of the hands of the committee bubble team evaluation and didn't. Only themselves to blame

You can go round and round with that stuff. Oklahoma the very next week got skullfricked at LSU a team Bama wiped the floor with at the very same place.
Vanderbilt wasnt as bad a team as you all let on. They played Texas really tough in Austin and gave UT some issues for a lot of that game til late.
