You do realize it was close because Bama shut out A&M in the 2nd half once the D made adjustments right
It's gonna be a rough game for A&M, Manziel, and Sumlin this yr, Bama is coming to town to annihilate
We will see how A&M responds to the loss
I am not sure how successful the back-up QB will be for A&M this yr so I won't speculate on the record without Manziel because I still think Sumlin is an excellent coach but he did luck up also with inheriting a stacked team as well but without Manziel I'd contribute a few losses so what I think is a 10-2 maybe 9-3 season would become 7-5 maybe 8-4 with a lucky break (like A&M did get against Bama on Tyler Hayes offsides call, shouldn't have had a TF in there but that is neither here nor there)

Actually looking at your schedule I'll say it looks like a 10 - 2 season with losses to Bama on Sept 14 and @ LSU on Nov 23rd
A&M could drop a trap game to AU (after an away game @ OM but I see y'all walloping OM after a Bye week)
This season will tell me a whole lot about Sumlin and Manziels toughness because now everyone in gunning for him

You do realize A&M outscored Alabama 9-7 in the 4th quarter, right? I suppose some if you consider that a 'shutout' compared to the cornholing you submitted to to start the game.
The denial and false hope in this thread is truly bookmark-worthy...

You do realize Alabama won the National Championship last year don't you? When people look back 10 years from now, they won't give a shite about your fluke win. Alabama still won the National Championship. When is the last time your team won a NC? I can see why the horns hate you dumb homos.

Well thought-out, and comprehensive response -- supported by facts.
Please post more.

Alabama is just like UTx. Except I don't care about Bama.
Rivalry application denied.

Alabama is nothing like UTx. Alabama has a good program.

& my "gump revisionist history" remembers 20 pts in the 1st quarter & only 9 in the next 3 (all in the 4th)
Like I said this year will be nasty in Kyle Field Sept 14th for A&M
Question I'll be interested to see is how A&M responds, they did well last year after losing to UF, but last yr's A&M team had some senior leadership & more talent IMHO

You all are missing the real issue in that game. We learned that the only team in Alabama that can overcome a three touchdown lead in Brian Dennehy stadium is Auburn.

Still stings doesn't it.

If Alabama's corners finally lock down A&Ms receivers like they should've, TAMU is fricked. Johnny can only scramble so much in a game before he just gets out of a rhythm. (See 4-5th series in LSU game).
HOWEVER, if Bama doesn't bring down the receivers like they should, Manziel is gonna have a field day again. That whole offense, scratch that, whole TEAM is based around 2 parts of the offense. Bama's offense is the difference. It was what killed Alabama last time.
I'd imagine since TAMU lost a good bit up front, running should be easier. That in mind, should that first series get started, then you're back to playing true SEC ball. Alabama is the king at choking the life out of an opponent with a sick running game and a steady QB.
It will sound cheesy, but I equate this game to the style matchup of Sonnen vs. Silva. Stylistically.

8-4, not enough talent without JFF.
Loses to Bama, LSU, Ole Miss. Either Mississippi State or Arkansas.

I would guess 8-4 or 9-3. Really even 10-2 would be possible..... To say they have a favorable schedule is an understatement.

To get a gauge, look at what A&M did without JFF in the last 10 years without him. The entire time they were in the Big 12, they averaged about 7 wins a season. The SEC being a tougher conference is negated by the better talent they are able to pull in by the fact they are in the SEC. It will really be interesting to see what Sumlin does post JFF.

Why not include the ten years before that?
