I still put Alabama in tier one despite Georgia being a clearly better team at this point and time.

Tier 2 in the SEC is probably tier 2 nationally (haven't really thought about that yet) with UGA probably still in tier 1 alone.
How is that not very good?
Since when has the second place team in the SEC just hoped to get a good bowl game? Last year, that team won the national title. Sounds like you are much more down on Bama than me. ;-)
We live in a Ricky Bobby society these days.

I agree with the OP. Bama is not very good. Little ole Bama just hopes to go to a good bowl game

This is why you have a tier distinction.
If you think one team is clearly better than the other, why would you say they are essentially the same?

Texas has injury issues. But Texas is much better than anybody that Georgia has played.

I mean we played bad but don’t get it confused.
This Mo State team is better than last year and they lost to Oklahoma State by 7 last year.
Same Oklahoma State that was a yard away from the playoffs
I’ve said all year we are an 8-4 team. West will beat up on each other

I learned that most fans continue to overreact each and every week based on one game.
Last week LSU was going to be lucky to win 6 games. This week they are at worst a 9-3 team; and 11-1 is on the table.
Last week Arkansas was playoff bound. Last night you had multiple fans asking if it was time to pull the plug on the Sam Pittman experiment and start the coaching search.
Last week MSU was a dark horse pick to win the west. This week the game has passed Mike Leach by and it is time for a change.
Last week Auburn sucked. This week Auburn sucks. Ya’ll got this one right.

Texas struggled yesterday. The idea that Texas' best showing so far is a loss? We need to see more.
The Texas/UTSA game had a 13 point spread and Texas won by 21.
FYI - UTSA is one of the best Group of 5 teams. They won 12 games last year, won their conference & were ranked. Their QB (a really good dual-threat guy) and their top 3 WRs are back for their 6th year together. They would beat half of the SEC.

What has bama done to show that they don’t belong in tier one?
