Not to mention its double decker so everywhere will be slammed. Thats not necessarily a good thing though, but should be fun for visitors.
Weather looks pretty shitty right now, hopefully that will change before the weekend.

Do the gas stations in Oxford still not sell cold beer? Freaked me out last time I was there and none of the beer was in fridges.

no cold beer.. some give free ice with purchase of a case.
bars really dont sell crawfish, its kind of a when they have it type deal. and yeah its not very good and extremely pricey.

Good luck getting a reservation at City Grocery. I just got mine for Friday because I know a couple waiters and they squeezed me in. Booked solid. Also, 208 isn't taking Saturday reservations. I think that is the norm because of Double Decker.

No mention of Taylor Grocery.

no point to mention Taylor grocery.. it'd literally take 4 hours to get a table during double decker

Like Yogi Berra said; "nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded"?

Old Taylor - awesome whole catfish, but as others have said, it may be pointless this weekend. Double Decker sounds pretty gay if you ask me, but who knows, I've never been.
I (as an outsider) like the Rib Cage - I hear that it's pretty average for N. Miss, and it's definitely below average for Memphis - but since we're both from LA, it will seem awesome.
And as you probably know, stop in Batesville for beer. RM, how'd you get tickets? I tried to get them through the old lady's Dad, but he said no luck this weekend, b/c it's Double Decker/LSU weekend. May still go for Saturday if I can get a last minute ticket.
Also, a bunch of douchy assholes up there, but we all know that

Not me. When I get to go to another college town that I've never been to, I like to see everything I can. I always get their early and drive around the campus, go to any famous local restaraunts, and see anything historical I can.

Well it's definitely not homosexual.
Double Decker is a ton of fun. They shut down the roads on the Square Saturday and play some great fricking music. All the awesome bars and restaurants participate. Robert Randolph played last year and a fricking party broke out in the streets, but you probably think he is "gay" too. You sound like a tool.
ETA: I am a Baton Rouge native and LSU fan.

There is cold beer closer than that. And can you honestly not just have an ice chest? I mean unless you are some uber badass that drinks his entire case of beer before it gets warm

I don't know. They even had shirts made that said naw we don't have sweet tea. It's a plate lunch with like fried chicken and veggies. like what your grandmother cooks on sundays

Moe's is closing all over the south... 2 places shut down in the Northshore New Orleans area over the last couple of years.
I was a fan... FML.

Yeah they shut down Moe's everywhere. They must of been in some crazy financial trouble.
