Newton's coach at Florida was Dan Mullen. Later, Cam Newton's comments to Dan Mullen's wife as for why his Dad chose Auburn instead...“the money was too much.”

You do know that Joe Shadd was hammered because he only had one source? That one source was Megan Mullen. Like I said.....a former State player went to Cecil and told him he thought he could get money for Cam from State. Cecil said "see what you can do". Kenny Rogers was only involved in Cam's recruitment to State. Those were the facts when it was all said and done.

we convinced the FEDS and the NCAA.

Taught us all that morons on this site think transitive property is evidence. It was one former Moo state player asking another for cash. Auburn was not involved in any form of that deal. Yet morons here think we paid because Cam decided not to sign with the shitstain known as Mississippi State University.

nahhhh. Not even you guys are stupid and naive enough to truly believe it.

"It's not what you know, it's what you can prove!" Alonzo Harris

What you think you know is irrelevant...2010 was a transition into a different kind of reporting due to social media. Writers were running with stories on information that would have been unthinkable to run with even 3 years earlier. One would have hoped that as a people we would have learned from the mistakes but instead shakey source has become a new norm because people will forget what you reported in a day or two anyway.

There was actual evidence on this

Was there anything, I mean anything real to show Auburn even thought about paying Cam?

You are the one stupid enough to actually believe dumb internet rumors from 9 years ago and still spew them

Yet State was never even investigated. That sounds suspicious

Now they just throw shite against the wall and hide behind an amendment if it doesn't stick.

Too many people believed all of the shite in ATPB. It turns out it was 2K+ pages of BS.

too bad you barners believe that cecil was just standing in the background being a proud papa... or at least you are all lock-step with that story since it's the only one that allowed things to move forward the way they did.

cecil made the decision on where to attend, not cam. it's very simple. cecil was funneled the money, it is what it is. barners seem to be a lot like the will wade supporters. as long as you deny it, it didn't happen.

Keeping saying it aloud. Maybe it will produce some shred of evidence to make it true.

The NCAA talked to all of the State boosters involved.

the NCAA sure knew a lot about what went on at State for them not to investigate State.

I fully admit that is only my opinion. I can't prove it and do not know whether it is true or not.

Again was there anything to say otherwise? anything, real that is, not what you hope was real?

Was there anything shady in the Auburn recruitment of Cam, anything? Please list it so we can move on...

That's not what I said. Mississippi State was never under suspicion and never investigated. Maybe if Cam had signed with Mullen they would have been, but MSU was clean throughout the process

Word would never have come out about it. Mullen waited until Febr. before he even mentioned anything about the Cam recruitment to the SEC office. Crazy how that works, huh?
