What I was suggesting was playing and SEC schedule week in and week out, not just playing a single SEC opponent. It wears on a team. I bet Texas looses at least 2 SEC games their first year in the conference.
Then how come Texas currently has a strength of schedule ranked in the top 10?

Also, how does a team “loose” games? Was Texas supposed to tighten games this entire time?

Depends on the refs.

Teams tend to drop off after losing so much and the fans don't cheer as hard. Bama also hasn't done good against great against any defense they've played except Tennessee.

It helps when the refs haven't called a live ball foul against any opponent, including BAMA in 3 games. As soon as D proved to be good, holding stopped getting called. We haven't been able to buy PI all year long and couldn't even get home field advantage against UTSA.

We should've waited until the BAMA game happened to show we had a pass rush.

Refs have Ben terrible, imo, on both sides of ball, and for each team.

Still not a good Bama team. The SEC is down because the coaching in the league is bad save UGA. Milroe getting Heisman mentions for next season speaks to the lack of football knowledge among most. Running for 4 TDs against a historically bad LSU defense sure has a lot of insecure folks satisfied.

Bama wouldn’t beat UGA,Texas, Ohio State, FSU, Michigan, Oregon and Washington.

I think there’s probably 12 teams or so that could win a four game playoff.

I'm sure that we will see how that plays out next season, but for now, I would venture to say that only undefeated or one loss teams will be invited to the dance.
