I want no spread, no gimmick, tough and hardnosed football.

I want a stout D-Line and plenty of speed in the back end of the defense.

I want an O-Line that never allows any pressure whatsoever rushing only 3.

I want 2 backs in the backfield and and a 2 TE set most downs.

I want speed, size and reliable hands at receiver.

I want a QB with an IQ over 130.

We can dream, right?

Wake me up when we get there.

I like the dysfunctional retarded step brother family brand of football that you have right now

your wishes on the O side wont attract the HS kids as they like the spread out look and the RPO stuff. Even the NFL is adopting to this kind of ball

The Iowa HC runs what you are describing. He has won plenty of natties and big 10 titles doing it this way.

I think Art Briles would fit in well in Auburn.

They are kinda an “afterthought” school. So the media will largely leave them alone, and briles could get away with a lot. He would be a good choice.

Auburn needs a AD who loves the school as much as David Housel and a football coach who would work to restore the glory of the school like Pat Dye.
The AD comes first.

Love to emulate what OSU has going on with more of a Uga lean in defense.

I think what Ryan Day has done at OSU is pretty damn impressive so far.

Day had a pretty good team he inherited, and he has maintained it right?

If Auburn is ever going to be a decent football program, they need to get the boosters under control

NS had to do this at Bama when he arrived. Not many coaches out there that will tell the rich AU boosters where to shove it and let him run the program without interference. Pat Dye did it. Not many out there. Urban could do it but AU would be stupid to hire a man who got fired from his last job and left his previous two jobs with health issues.

Not that I'm defending the boosters here.....but I don't believe your statement is accurate. People fail to realize these boosters were around in 2004 during the perfect season, 2010 National Championship, and in 2013 when AU played for a National Championship. That pretty much proves that someone CAN win at AU even with the boosters.

Yeah he did and yes he looks to be maintaining it. He’s a great recruiter and looks to be a really good coach. Like I said, what he has going on looks pretty impressive.

No, he’s right. There is dysfunction somewhere in the line of President, Boosters, AD and HC.

If Auburn wants to have a consistent program of success like some of the current programs, there needs to be a major alignment that needs to happen. Otherwise Auburn may not even enjoy the occasional breakout year anymore.
