Their brand of ball isn’t sustainable at any level in baseball.
Every umpire around the league will see/know about this, and the Vol leash just got a lot shorter.
They getting ready to "fix" Vitello & Co.

Having really good pitching coupled with good hitting isn’t a sustainable brand of baseball??

That’s not what we’re talking about. The over amped emotions every single game isn’t sustainable. In a mental sport like baseball, you can’t get too high or too low.

Tennessee is 32-3 (13-1), went to Omaha last year and has been good every szn he’s coached at UT…please tell me what isn’t working.

Also, if you’re talking about him getting tossed, just a reminder that Bobby Cox was ejected 161 times, Earl Weaver 94 times, Tony Larussa 87 times.

Coaches argue on behalf of their players…Vitello are obviously has no problem playing the villain and it seems his players love him for it. Maybe it’s just message board posters who have a problem?

How many of those ejections were because the coach became physical with the ump?

All that “success” to go 0-2 in Omaha.

The only logical answer is he should have to sport a shirt with Dave Van Horn's face on it the rest of the season that just says "Daddy."

Maybe DVH and his assistants shouldn’t have been bad mouthing him on the recruiting trail.

Yeap that's baseball go 3-1 over the mighty Vols and didn't make the CWS. Umpires are now going to squeeze the hell out of the vols due to coaching lunacy, congrats.

3rd base ump needs to never be allowed to work another Basevols game again. That should go without saying. A simple apology from the crew to the Vols dugout should be enough for the rest. Maybe have them write an apology letter to Dollander.

He’s been a head coach for 6 seasons for what has been one of the worst baseball programs in the SEC…seems like some of the other conference programs don’t like the new guy getting attention.

Did you go to Hillwood in Nashville during the 90's?

If so - glad to see you're still kicking.

Those are Major League managers. Vitello is an employee of an institution of higher learning.

Does the difference really have to be explained to you?

He's winning at an 80% clip the last 3 seasons. Lots of L's hung on other teams.

I see ten (10) CWS appearances and two (2) runner up finishes. Really impressive!

Perhaps it would make sense to look at LSU, USCe, Vandy, Ms St, UF, UGA??

Arky likes to think they are on the level of championship programs, but the reality is that y’all have baseball Rick Barnes as your coach.
