Attention to detail. I remember reading a quote from Urban Meyer after the 2009 SEC Championship Game which really stuck with me. He mentioned the exact number of missed tackles Florida had against Bama in that game. Not only that he said it was the most missed tackles Florida had in a game since such and such. It completely blew my mind when I read his quote.

With Saban, it's the level of detail involved in planning and running the program. Even long time head coaches from other programs are often surprised by it when they are hired into the program.

On top of that, Saban is tireless when it comes to the job, and he expects that of his assistants, as well. Some thrive in it, some would rather work a less demanding schedule and don't stay long (Major Applewhite comes quickly to mind).
