Don’t know if anyone calls Tennessee a blue blood. I doubt it. But here’s an article about improper benefits received LINK
Yea tim couch turned down hundreds of thousands of dollars from every team in the country to play at fricking Kentucky for free.

Getting a handjob from a male prostitute isn’t quite the same thing as paying recruits

I don't call LSU a blue blood, but there were indications in both football and basketball going back years.
In the 80's, there was a RB out of Zachary, his family was dirt poor. Like, living in a shotgun shack out in the country. While at LSU, he got a ticket for going over 100 mph in his brand new Mustang GT, "burning the bad gas out of it" per the local news. The car was worth more than his family's home.
Same rough time period, there was a bigtime basketball player out of LA, I think the guy came from Compton. Poor family again. He was driving around campus in a gold BMW.
Things like this were commonplace, and understood. I'm sure it went on everywhere.

Op is naive and uninformed. It was the NON blue bloods trying to get to BB status that did the most egregious cheating.
For example SMU got the death penalty for cheating . Look it up. They couldn’t play football for a number of years as their punishment.
Cars , direct payments of money , etc. It was legion. Look up Craig James and 5DH……..

There's a reason there used to be an unofficial season award called the Switzer Slam - MNC, Heisman, and probation all in the same year. It's not because OU was as pure as the driven snow, either. SMU got the DP because they tried to play the game the way you played it, and succeeded too well.
