enough. Also out of the three, Bama is the closest thing to a dynasty because they had an undefeated season

To much emphasis is put on undefeated seasons. Like poster rating unbeaten team over team with one loss just because that team lost. 2011 Bama would beat almost every undefeated champion from the last ten years and they lost a game.

We lost about 9 starters on D in '10. We have 6 starters back this season. It's not even close to the '10 losses. Offense, we return most of our starters I think(I haven't looked much at the charts), but our O line should be excellent again. Our QB returns. We did lose TR,but Lacy can still do some damage

If AJ's performance jump in bowl game is maintained/improved I'm expecting Bama's O to be better. I think the Hog game should be taken very seriously though. If Wilson is clicking and Tide's DB's are still figuring out schemes, it could be a huge upset that no one should be surprised about.

But zero undefeated seasons over that stretch. If the team doesn't have a single undefeated season over the time span, it should automatically take them out of the running to be considered a "dynasty". How can a CFB dynasty not have a single year when they won all their games?

See right here is what I'm talking about. What of those undefeated teams played a far easier schedule? If LSU had gone undefeated in 07 and last years LSU team had lost in the regular season but won the bcscg, of still think 2011 LSU was better because of schedule. Many reason teams go undefeated.

IMO, national titles > conference titles.

Like it or not a NC is a popularity contest. Everyone should know this after last year.if it had been TEXAS or Oklahoma instead of OSU last year. No wAy they get left out.

You honestly think Michigan is gonna beat Alabama in Dallas?

Did you honestly believe Utah was gonna dominate Bama in 08? Did you really think ULM was gonna beat Bama , at Bryant Denny?
That's what was laughable last year when all the sec posters were saying ,"no way osu could beat LSU or Bama ".if

Exactly. Bama dominated the 70's

Alabama a dynasty? No, we are a long way from that.

Now if you want to make an argument for a dynasty type of career for any ONE man then I would say take a look at the 9 national championship rings that Malfunction Moore has. I doubt anyone will come close to that for a very long time.

You lost most starter on offense. Top two receivers and top te( althought I think Johnson as better) and the best rb since AP

I think a couple things make a "dynasty" impossible in present day CFB.
#1) the playing field is too even. There are exceptions, but in general, it's more even than back in the day.

The playing field really isn't that even in CFB. In fact, I can't name a sport where the playing field is less even. In other words, when two CFB teams step on a field to play each other, often times there is a *signifcant* talent discrepancy between those two teams.

Exactly. The scholarship limits, media scrutiny, conference championship games and other stuff I can't remember this late all contribute to parity.

The NFL has parity.

College Football has juggernauts.

That excludes FSU. I can't go along with a definition that excludes a team that finished in the top 5 (is that right?) for 14 (is that right?) straight years.

I first posted as "TUSK" in circa 94-95... I would be surprised if there was Bammer poster prior to that... no internet and all

I know most bama fans are dillusional, but damn. You're so dillusional you could be an Arky fan. By the way, I hate bama, but gotta give them props. They have a great program. I just wish they weren't all such ***holes.

You're the a-hole here as I said I was wanting to avoid an argument, and then you flame.

It's not delusion when it's true. If Bama beats LSU the next two years, you might as well hand them the natty for each year. If LSU beats Bama the next two years, you might as well hand them the natty for each year.

I agree. When the Bear was at Alabama they were a dominant team and i would consider them a dynasty.Over the past few not. They are good but not a dominant team like the 70s.When they won there 1st title under Saban if the tenn kicker does not kick fat arse cody in the arm pitts they loose that game. Not trying to start crap but there are quite a few that say because they did not make there conferance title game last year they did not deserve.
