One of the worst calls in the history of college football. Never seen my dad so pissed over a football game.

Wasn't that official related to one of Penn State's assistant coaches or players or something?

The only time I ever heard my mother cuss like a sailor was after that call. The official in question was Mike Guman's uncle. Who is Mike Guman? The Penn State ball carrier on the 79 Sugar Bowl Goal Line Stand

I'd rather not talk about it. Still makes my blood boil to this day.

Didn't determine outcome of the game. Not sure that would rank as the worst ever for you guys. Surely you think the personal foul this year cost you the Bama game and would rank as a worse call than a call that would have merely given your team the ball with another chance to go 3 and out.

Tom Ritter 2010 Iron Bowl. I won't ever forget his celebration penalty on Nick Fairley after a 3rd down sack when Auburn was down 14-0. The call gave Bama a first and they scored a touchdown a few plays later.

The Push

2000 @ Clemson

Clemson WR Ron Gardner pushes off our DB to make a catch that gets Clemson well into FG range with seconds remaining.

Flag is thrown. Defensive pass interference is called. Clemson goes on to kick the game winning FG.

9 year old Cockopotamus shed a few tears

Here's a visual

^^^^** that shite right there got called defensive PI

Yes it did, it didn't give us an opportunity to score.

It absolutely determined the outcome of the game.

It has been over 30 years and I'm still butthurt.

That would/should have been the greatest comeback in Alabama football history.

Given the situation, the personal foul this year was worse.

However, the fact that they reviewed the INT and still didn't overturn it was a joke.

5th down against Colorado. I was at the game. They were number 1. We sucked. Could have really helped turn the program around. It was insane. Their qb didn't even make it in on the 5th down. We stood around after waiting for something - call to be changed, CU forfeit, who knows.

Horrible day.

Seriously? A call that was obscured by a pile is near the top of your "worst call ever" list?

That's right. Knew he had some connection to Penn State.

And check this out from the prior season. Wonder if it's the same official.

That 1st down call was one of my favorite moments ever. I just couldn't stop laughing at the absurdity. And at Spurriers face and reaction. Glad USCe wont the game.

It wound up being a two score game.

Worst call I've ever seen wasn't against Bama. It was Florida-UT the last time UT won it, 2004. UT player slapped UF player. UF player slapped back. Unsportsmanlike on UF player. Set up UT field goal that gave them the 30-28 win.
