Say what you want. USC has firmly entrenched itself in the spot UT used to occupy in the hierarchy of the East

I agree they have the past 4 years. Will it be like that in the long run? I highly doubt it. Why? Because we are Tennessee and you guys are South Carolina. Not a flame, it's just how it is.

Also until you guys win a handful of SEC and National Titles, you haven't really replaced UT in any "hierarchy".

IMO, It's a fun eastern division match up. No true rivalry in the grand scheme of things other then most UT fans can't stand Spurrier from his UF days. Theres been some good ball games over the decade even with Doolander at the helm

Not really a rivalry game, but always a close hard fought exciting game. Last years game was tough because of the Lattimore injury. All the energy left the stadium after that. I really thought we were gonna lose after they carted him off, but our team battled it out.

I think it's a pretty fun game to watch. SC fans seem like good people and its good to see them doing well. I don't buy into the "SC has replaced UT" talk, but they have been a better program lately.

Hopefully it's a good, close game to watch this year.

The only way Tenn gets back is if our best players start leaving the state again and that's not happening right now nor do I see it happening again in the future.

You're right. Things never ever ever ever ever change.

eta: Do you have any idea of how many "SC will never _______" we've knocked down since Spurrier arrived? Its quite an impressive list.

Games were close even in Dooley's tenure (2010-2012). And I think it'll be a good game this year as well. Last blowout was 2009 when Kiffin sodomized Spurrier.

Please. We won 2 of those 3 games by 10+ points.

We controlled 4/5 of the game in 2011. Lattimore got hurt the week before so UT dared us to run the ball, so we did. Wilds, as a freshman in his first start, got over 100 yards rushing. Don't tell me you already forgot about that 15+ 13 minute 3rd QT drive did you?
Was kind of a

And the last blowout was in 2010 when SC won by 14. Not sure if you consider a 14pt win by SC in 2010 close but an 18pt by UT in 2009 a blowout.

That's such horse shite. Tennessee and South Carolina have the same amount of 4* next year and South Carolina only has 2 more 4* this year.

We've always recruited better then South Carolina . The difference is Coaching and player development. Jones has already proved he can develop talent, the big question mark is can he coach in the SEC. Which we'll find out when he has a few seasons under his belt. But what a bull shite statement, Tennessee hasn't and never will rely on South Carolina recruits. We did grab some of the best talent in SC but we never needed to out recruit you guys, ever.

Right, because Tenn ONLY recruited from South Carolina during their heydey. In their '98 NC season, only 5 of the 87 players on their roster were from from SC. Other seasons...

99 - 6
00 - 3
01 - 3

(Some players fall into multiple years, with Dominique Stevenson in all 3)

In 2010 game was tied at the 4th quarter. SC pulled away with 2 late TD in the 4th. Even in Dooley's tenure UT was in the game the whole time and the game wasn't decided until the 4th quarter.

In 2009 it was 28-6 with like 15 minutes left in the game. Spurrier was sodomized from start to finish.

UT scored 3 points at home, in the 1st QT, and you think UT was in it in the 4th in 2011? Dominated up and down the field from start to finish.

Yeah, 3 fumbles at the start that gave UT 21 points or so from the outset. When everything calmed down neither team really did much. It was a game we gave to UT.

Number of losses to South Carolina in the 100 years prior to Dooley: 3
Number of losses to South Carolina in the three years under Dooley: 3

If you think the 3 game winning streak has anything to do with anything other than Dooley, you're just as retarded as the extra-chromosomed Demetris Summers.

You're right. Its all UT being bad, has nothing to do with SC getting good. Good point retard.
