I think that's his current salary in Moultrie, GA. Don't know how much it was back then, but Hoover's current coach makes $125k.
You should watch the documentary ESPN did on him a year or two ago. Interesting stuff about how to maintain two separate families. True POS.

Damn.
But yea 95k isn't that much. Fayetteville High School's in Arkansas make near or more than that and so does Bentonville.

The 95k is from the wiki page. I have no problem with coach propst at this time, so I wont foia him.

What year was it 95k? Tons of high school coaches make that now.
I was about to ask "In what world?" and realized you said 'coaches' not 'teachers' and just shook my head at humanity instead.

Greatest HS football coach in the South, probably ever.
It's shitty how he did his family when he was in Hoover, BUT as a HS football coach there's nobody you would rather have. He cared about all his players equally whether they were 4th string and barely varsity or a 5* superstar. He did literally everything he could to get any player on his team, even ones that barely played, onto a college team, including using all his coaching connections, having his staff put together and send out highlight tapes, and making phone calls on their behalf.
Hoover's current coach, Josh Nibblett, on the other hand is a god christian family man that presents a good public image, but is too busy with making himself look good to have time for his players. You have to be a prototypical college recruit at Hoover these days. A friend of mines younger brother started at Hoover under Nibblett for two years but because he was undersized his parents had to do his own recruiting for him, make and send out highlights for him, make their own phone calls.
I would take a guy like Probst over a guy like Nibblett any day. I'm not hiring a coach for his private life, I'm hiring him to win games and develop players and young men.

I guarantee you they don't actually get 3 months off. And even the time they do get off, plenty of them take second jobs to make ends meet. Trust me, I've a few teachers in my time.

According to wiki, his annual salary is 95k.
That's just what the state/county pays him for teaching and coaching. I can promise you that he clears 120K after the boosters kick in their bonus.
