Ok. I recommend not looking at Kelly's mean, then. Not a lot of hardware in it.

Ok I just researched Brian Kellys coaching history.
Best of luck to y'all.

An average of 9-10 wins a season? I’d be ok with that

Then there are 2 active SEC coaches with “hardware” as you define it

Ok I just reached Brian Kellys coaching history.
Actually, it's pretty stellar. It's an exciting time at LSU.

Brian Kelly is an anomaly among coaches. He is a winner no doubt. Great winning percentage. And yet he still occasionally loses to a 3-9; 4-8; 5-7 team. Despite this he wins just one game enough to get to a major bowl game, a championship, or in one instance the playoffs. And he then gets boat raced in the post season. It is unusual among coaches to have as much consistent high level success as he has in the regular season and never win a big game in the post season. I would argue few have ever been as successful as him in terms of winning percentage with as little to show for it at the end of the year.
There is one data point so far at LSU, the SEC Championship. LSU should win it’s bowl game in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl this year against Purdue.

Y'all the sensitivity with the downvotes just proves that you feel it's true. In your bones.
Dude who's won nothing will continue to win nothing until he retires in five years.
Then you'll pretend you never believed in him, like you do with O now.

It's always hilarious to watch the mental gymnastics the "Kelly worriers" have to force themselves through just to convince themselves that BK will fail at LSU.

To win at an elite level, you need balance throughout your position groups.
Without skill position players but with a line, yes a team will probably finish 7-5 or 8-4.
And we saw LSU go 10-11 the next two seasons after the Joe Moore Award winning OL left.

Failed to win anything in twenty plus years = unlikely to win something after 60 doesn't require a lot of flexibility, thankfully.

So you predicted LSU would win the west in 2022?

Bud, a vocal majority didn’t believe in Orgeron until the clock hit zero against Clemson in 2019 and it was right back to square one in week 1 of 2020

Failed to win anything

If you told me at the beginning of the season it wouldn't have surprised me.
I realize this "LSU only had one player and a janitor" narrative is critical to weighting Kelly but we know full well that LSU and Bama are year in year out the favorites for the west.
Only surprise I had was Arkansas collapse

Maybe it'll change. Maybe he'll even will a conference title in p5.
I have doubts

And losing about 30 players to the NFL while Orgeron was getting divorced chasing blonde trailer trash

Or just having a balanced roster, like I said

It's a nice rewrite of history, but no.

Fortunately for him, he’s coaching in a P5 conference for the first time in his career

Probably why they were picked to finish 6th in the division and the betting line for their expected win total was 6.5 entering the season. But sure, it didn’t surprise anyone that LSU won the west.
