Depends on what you mean by best. Highest stakes? Bama vs Auburn or LSU. Most wildly entertaining? Ole Miss vs Arkansas or Moo State. Most bitter? I'd give the nod to Ole Miss vs. Moo State though Bama vs Auburn is darn close. Most yawn inducing? Alabama vs Tennessee.

LSU-Auburn has been an interesting rivalry for the last 20 years.

2003-2007. LSU won two titles in that span. Plus two more NCG appearances and one more title since. All UGA has to hang their hat on in the last 40 years is a NCG heartbreaker

LSU beats Bama for the first time in 8 years by five points and they start saying this

I'll take it a step further. The GREATEST team that LSU HAS EVER PRODUCED, beat Saban's second worst Bama team by 5 and now they're basically football gods. Auburn doesn't even act like this and they're legit rivals...

The Egg Bowl is going to be very interesting for the near future.

Iron Bowl is tops, but agree the Egg Bowl is going to take on a new significance starting next season with the coaches!

Another butt hurt Bama fan that can't accept LSU was easily the better team in college football last season, in fact, the best ever- Couple of lucky plays kept the score close, but LSU was in complete control during that game. If anything, based on the big lead, LSU took the foot off the gas and started getting lax, while playing on your home field and against Bama's best ever QB, who played quite well, appeared unhurt, then suddenly limped, AFTER the game.

Im not saying they're in the ballpark as far as significance or vitriol between fan bases, but Kentucky's series v South Carolina and Mississippi State have produced some really good games, especially the last decade or so. Usually underrated but the games themselves are almost always good ones that get your blood pumping for whatever reason.

53-26-5 and 8 of last 10. Meh. Auburn beats Bama much more consistently.

Unfortunately, LSU doesn't have a true rival.

As much as I dislike auburn, tennessee and even miss state in some sports. Them being a rival makes it that much sweeter to kick their arse

Iron bowl & wlocp. Bama vs TN

Let's face it, Bama vs LSU has reached the level of a heated rivalry and will probably be our 2nd most heated rival,
surpassing TN and just below the level of the AU game.

We need to give more weight to the purple tigers. That game has had a lot to say about who's in the driver's seat to win the SEC West.
