This thread is beautiful. I think fans are starting to realize how pointless/useless bowl games outside the playoffs really are.
College Football needs to eliminate this ‘everyone is a winner’ bullsh1t they are promoting, and if someone doesn’t make the 4-team playoff, then take your sorry arse home & try again next year.
If Tom Brady doesn’t make The playoffs, he takes his arse Home. They don’t throw him in a fake game with a fake trophy to make him feel better. These bowl games are atrocious, good players are even sitting out now becaue they are so pointless.
I’d even say that if Bama wasn’t in the playoffs. I don’t want them in a meaningless game, it would be embarrassing to me as a fan.
Then, don’t even get me started on the Gatorade bath for the coaches and trophy presentations because a team got its 8 win & won the sweettart Bowl. Jesus Christ that’s pathetic
