What if Meyer had taken the tu job after they begged him to save the program?

Would texas and OU still be in the Big 12?

I mean it pretty established they left because of money, tho they say recruiting disadvantages or morning games or whatever.

My guess is had tu hired Urban: (1) they would have been a contender right away, (2) probably would have a better recruiting class, ahead of OU in the big 12, probably Top 5, (3) it would have killed Ohio States momentum if Urban hired coaches away, (4) they would have not told OU, “guess what, we are leaving the conference”

Or maybe they would have joined the SEC anyway, and a tu with an Urban Meyer feels like a contender in the SEC, a Sark led team feels a little Lane Kiffin-ish to me.

As much as texas talks up their DC hire…that dude got lit up by Art Briles by like 60+ points at an Alamo Bowl. Yeah they had Heisman QB RG3, but Baylor also had 3 conference losses that year (KSU, A&M, Okie state) and like the 110th defense in the country. Imagine what Baby Briles and Arkansas are going to do to that defense.

This is a strange place.

A supporter of a school that hasn't won a conference title since the 90s, and won its only national title in the 30s, shouldn't feel comfortable talking shite about anyone.

However, you guys have created an aggie safespace here. You are so progressive. Jimbo could transition to a 3rd gender, and you would all celebrate his empowerment.

You don’t think Sark and Kiffin are a good comparison? Are Sark or Kiffin even in the same tier as Meyers?

Naw, they’re still riding the short bus in this conference.

Ag posters on here have Texas or LSU on the brain 24-7, which is why they start threads like this.

Urban got Ohio State one NC. And then it all fell apart on him.

He seems to be good at building a team up but then it all falls to shite on him. Is this really saving the program?

Saban rebuilt Alabama up from the rubble of the 2000's and then kept it running like a fine oiled machine the whole time. That's getting it done.

Urban won at 2 programs, over 80% of his games, he’s a top tier coach, you’re saying Sark is as good as Urban? They are on the same tier?
