What if LSU actually did cancel the 2015 fall semester?

By the NCAA rules a student athlete has to attend classes and maintain academic eligibility to play their sport. If their are no classes for a semester, do LSU athletes who play fall sports automatically become ineligible to play this fall?

With a record number of incoming freshmen and higher enrollment (which has increased annually), that is a preposterous opinion and conclusion.
Also LSU is one of the top 30 research institutions on this planet, funding billions in new reaearch annually.
